The Dallas Mavericks defeat the Sacramento Kings, 132-96. Luka Doncic tallied 28 points (26 in 1H), 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the Mavericks, while Kyrie Irving added 24 points and 8 assists in the victory. De’Aaron Fox tallied 18 points and 5 rebounds for the Kings, while Domantas Sabonis (12 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists) tallied his 55th consecutive double-double. The Mavericks win their fifth consecutive game and improve to 43-29 on the season, while the Kings fall to 42-30.

Imagine if hardaway hits his shot consistently, that would instantly make the mavs a contender. Sad thing is, he's very inconsitent. I wouldnt be surprised if he ends up 2/10 the next game
Damn! Mavs are really scary come Playoff time. Teams have a problem guarding Luka and/or Kyrie. Now Mavs found their 3rd scorers with their centers. If those dont work, they kick it out to their snipers. Real headache for opposing teams. Mavs can win it all this year!

Its time to start thinking about Luka in the MVP conversation though. We talked about how the Mavericks at times they struggled on defense but on this run they're on, their defense has played tremendous and its ranked 10th in the NBA. The additions of PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford are a huge part of that. Plus role players like DJJ, Maxi, THJ, and Exum are playing extremely well also. I do expect the Kings to come out desperate come Friday but I still believe that the Mavericks continue their winning ways and Im getting the chills about this version of the Mavericks team compared to the 2011 team. Do I believe that the Mavericks win the rest of their next few games? Maybe but I do think that they have an identity and thats playing defense and playing bully ball down in the paint.
