For a playing spot right now the the team that’s uh in the 11 seed behind the Atlanta Hawks are the Brooklyn Nets and they are good seven games behind the Chicago Bulls now while it’s not mathematically impossible that they pass that they can win enough games with 10

Games left in the season let’s just if all I could be said is if the Bulls lose enough games to where the Brooklyn Nets Leap Frog them in playing standings oh tune in for that show because it’s gonna be a lot of pettiness going around on

That show really I feel like we don’t even need that I’m not gonna lie to you you may not need it but it’s gonna happen I just I just feel like that’s such a like the way the season G yeah you know you know it is what it is but so right

Now the teams that are slated to be in the play right now Miami Heat Philadelphia 76ers are the seventh and e seed with uh the Indiana Pacers having a two and a half game advantage over those two teams and then you have the Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Hawks and there’s

A one and a half game advantage that the Chicago Bulls currently have over the Atlanta Hawks basically the Bulls are either going to finish the ninth seed or the 10th seed if they can’t stop losing so Pat when you look at the teams in the playin the Miami Heat who were the first

Team to make it from the playin tournament into the NBA finals last year uh we always know that they do have that ability with the heat culture Jimmy Butler a exposer to turn it on uh the Philadelphia 76 are just hoping that Joel embiid’s going to come back at some

Point in time they’re four- six in their last 10 and then you have the Chicago Bulls the Atlanta Hawks what do you view as the biggest strengths and weaknesses that the Bulls have over some of these teams I mean listen let’s start off with the matchup that we have to see uh more

Than likely that is actually going to come down the pipeline that’s the Atlanta Hawks I mean the the part about Atlanta that helps the Chicago Bulls in the slightest is the fact that Atlanta is literally one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA 28th in defensive

Rating right now now they’ve got a pretty high potent offense but the Bulls match up pretty well with that because the Chicago Bulls are able to come with a high- Power Defense at times here right we can’t say that it’s it’s as consistent it maybe as maybe it was

Earlier in the season but the Bulls can force some teams into some really tough situations I think a matchup with Atlanta really helps the Bulls out now you also have to take into account right Trey young is starting to get a little bit more healthier so that high-powered

Offense gets a little more powerful um but outside of that I mean like you you kind of look at that Atlanta team and say this is a team we always compete really well against this a team that we always go out there and fight really well against I think that the bulls

Actually have a little bit of an advantage against Atlanta but when you start looking at those other two teams I mean Philly we probably would see a Joel em beadless Philadelphia 76ers which definitely speaks to uh the bulls having a little bit more success but it’s something about IO dumu that when Drew

When Tyrese Maxi see him that is a weakness like that’s that is a real weakness there and um I I think that that’s that’s the matchup that you have to watch out the most for in the Miami Heat listen they they allow you to get in a dog fight again another team that

Allows you get in a dog fight and the Bulls have been better than not in a dog fight playing in 40 clutch matchups this year still being above 500 in those clutch matchups it’s kind of spoken to what the bull Su the only bull success we’ve seen this season has been them in

The clutch and uh you know hopefully that’s something that could carries over into the play in the weird part about it is right when you see Philly when you see Miami you kind of think of the Bulls match up against either of those teams the L is coming the bulls actually match

Up against all of these teams really well because of the pieces that they’re currently missing and probably at least for Philly sake right won’t have in the play in tournament yeah I mean the bulls have we we know that the Bulls can match up well against anybody right on any given night

They they can seem to match up well ex the Celtics I ain’t going to lie to you we just we used to when Lono when we had Lonzo we matched it well against the Celtics that that’s that’s been a long time days are over my friend um but it

So like you said that first match up against the Atlanta Hawks their games seem to always come down the wire when we Face the Atlanta Hawks it doesn’t matter who’s in or out in those lineups it just seems to always happen now we know that the Bulls can’t beat the

Atlanta Hawks though but I’m just a little bit worried about that what we’ve seen from the Bulls right like in these last couple of weeks is that when teams just refuse to go away the Bulls they usually end up on the wrong side of that so there’s a young Atlanta Hawks team

That’s Scrappy well coached so I’m a little bit worried about that yeah the Philadelphia 76ers without Joe and beid they looking real Mortal is what I’ll say again don’t predict the Bulls to beat anybody per se but we know that they can and then the Miami Heat I mean

Had Billy Donovan not pulled Co Kobe white out the game last year we probably could have beat the Miami Heat so yeah I mean like the Bulls do a better job matching up with Miami because Miami also plays an older style of basketball it just ends up working

More times than not for Miami because Jimmy Butler just turns into an absolute monster yeah I I’m not gonna lie I think my hope is right now Miami just gets in they get in as the seven seed outright um we have to beat Atlanta and we have to play Philly

Um because I think that those are two matchups that that to me speak to like Jimmy Butler with his back against the wall I don’t care how old he is I don’t care how far away from you know being a Chicago Bull how far removed he is how

How what he doesn’t have on his team what he does have on his team Jimmy Butler with his back against the wall is one of the best players that we’ve we’ve seen in NBA history when it comes to playoff style basketball that is not the situation that I want to see the Chicago

Bulls go get into a dog fight with um but Philly with with you know kind of what they’ve done I mean you you look at their last 10 right losses to the Pelicans lost to the Knicks lost to Milwaukee um they they lost to Phoenix they lost to

LA and for most of those games you kind of if you watch them it’s just like you can tell that their main piece is not on the floor you can tell that they’re struggling to get the offense going the way that it once was um but I I mean

Atlanta I don’t know maybe maybe I shouldn’t I shouldn’t Overlook any team for the Bulls but Atlanta just feels like a a beatable team at this point in the season even though they’re starting to play some better basketball if you get past the Hawks I think you might

Even be able to sneak your way past the Sixers and actually get into the playoffs and your reward the Boston Celtics who have a 11 game lead on uh the next closest team in the Eastern Conference yeah and who you haven’t matched up with well all seas and that’s why like

Ultimately when it comes down to this is going to end in pain for the Chicago Bulls and I just like like I said I’m always going to root for the team to win but if the Bulls don’t make it out the plane is really not the worst thing

Possible because you get a couple of more shots in the lottery at this point like I get it we want to see I would love to have a home game in the UC in the playing just to get some postseason in there but ultimately like what nobody’s going to give the Chicago Bulls

Now here’s the thing if the Bulls win one playoff game against the Boston Celtics everybody would be shocked by that you shock the world but you’re going to come crashing down real quick I don’t know if we’d be shocked by it because no the world would be shocked no

Because like four in one like any team can get beat any night I think at that point you win two no listen you win two you win two yeah you wi two a series against the against the Boston Celtics to six games yeah I mean

Like if if at some point see this is what I’m worried about because then if the Boston Celtics go on to win the title all AK is going to say in the Press we you know we pushed the def we pushed the Champions to to six games so

We felt really confident in the competitiveness and the continuity of this team we’re just going to see everybody back well and see I think that’s why this next topic is is very important with all of that as well because you know like it’s it’s one of

Know are there any players that the Bulls need to sign and prioritize um that are already on the team or that you could even write maybe they’re on the team and you realize there’s some value for signing trade listen it’s time to start asking if you haven’t started asking the

Question yet what are the Chicago bull is going to do at the head coaching position um because what we’ve done running it back with the same guy isn’t going to work I understand he’s got the mystery extension but it’s time to start speaking up on this on a consistent

Basis and you hate to call for somebody’s job I don’t think that there’s another coach around the league that just walks in the door and fixes this but heading into this off season if you’re not asking how do you improve the head coaching position you have a

Problem right now and then I think you also need to look at your free agent from office free agent you need to look at your front office and say what are you going to do to actually give a head coach the tools that he needs to be

Successful look at what Ryan poles is doing with the Bears as much as everybody doubts Matt eberl you know what Matt Eber flu won’t be able to say if this don’t work out in his favor I didn’t have a team that would could make this work I don’t

Believe there’s a coach in the NBA right now well I can’t say that one there’s one coach Eric SP could figure out how to make this team tick the only in the NBA I believe could make this could figure out how to make this team work

Mike Dango could figure out how to make this team tick too those are the two that I would I would if we could have any coach in the world he’s got so much talent on his team true but I’m talking about I’m just talking about his system

I think his system would do wonders for the young players here not to say that we’d have the same level of success or I just think the play style that we would do would would be more varied and I love the way that he adjusts offensively defensively he leaves lowed to be

Desired sometimes but his adjustments offensively as just the the X’s and O’s mind of that I love Mike dango’s uh game in the way that he runs that offense I it’s just I think I’m not saying you’re wrong but it’s so hard for me to see

That because I haven’t seen him with a bad team like whe the OKC being bad since he’s been there you knew you had talented players you just needed to add enough talented players and get them acclimated to his system which I do think works but I think Monty Williams

Is a great example of why the players to me are more important than the coach and there’s not many coaches that you can just have and say come in here and make this thing work figure out what the pieces are like you you look at freaking Monty Williams and it’s just

Like how’d you go from almost not losing 20 games a year in Phoenix with Devin Booker and getting those young guys on track to now coming to Detroit and literally it’s young Talent supposedly is though he didn’t want to coach that team when you have to go and offer

Somebody the job three times for them to take the job I think that that is just at this point I think he looked at that roster and like I get it they do have young talent but I don’t think he believes in the young talent because if

He believed in the young Talent would you have had to come three times to offer him the job come three times was crazy crazy listen no didn’t bro no did he that was the spacing on that was insane because my brain my brain realized what I was about to say but at

That point I was committed I couldn’t stop I couldn’t stop I was committed but I I think well for one right that’s what we had to do with Billy Donovan like AK had to jump on a plane and go convince him that this is the job that he needed

To take and two listen I I think that when you’re going through that process yes I do I agree with you you have to you know that he had to be convinced of course he didn’t want the job but the once you have the job nobody wants to

Lose so I don’t believe he’s just up there like I’m just collecting a check with my feet up I think that he’s trying to build this team up I think try to do his job but it’s a different thing between when you really believe in that roster versus when you’re like I’m just

I’m gonna make this work the best I can I just I don’t know man like I think the tough part is right you can’t figure out how to make jadeen iy Jaylen Duren and and K Cunningham work and we’ve all seen them be talented like not even like

Sporadically like almost well maybe J Ivy a little sporadically but for the other two fairly consistently and you just can’t like you’re the worst team in the NBA like I just I feel like when you look at the coaching issues that that are out there of course it goes to the

Roster as well I that’s why I said the front office is one of the major questions for me but I I mean we we’re talking about two coaches out of out of 30 that we that we feel can come in here and maybe turn them around and I don’t even know if

Mike dagnal if I agree with that but I think I do love his system I would love to see Kobe in his system but guess what I would have said that about Billy Donovan when he was in OKC because I thought he did a great job helping young

Players develop along I just had problems when he actually got the superstars that’s hilarious yeah I listen at the end of the day man I think it just comes down to this simply is that the Bulls got issues and the problem is that it doesn’t seem like

Some of these issues are going to be being fixed because we know we just had a whole conversation about something we know the Bulls aren’t looking to fix Billy Donovan will be here the well it’s not even yeah it is that like Billy Donovan being here is a is a tough part

Of it but I guess my my question is how do you get the pieces that make Billy Donovan because like he’s not a bad coach he’s not he’s just you got to have those guys right like like every coach in this league minus the couple we named

You got to have those guys that you look at and go yeah I don’t know how you going to stop him yeah I mean we kind of had that with Demar but not really not really the thing the thing is is that they’re locked in with Billy

Donovan and does every coach deserve to have the players that best work for their system yes have we gone into every year with deficits as far as like knowing that we don’t have the N three-point shooting knowing we don’t have room protection yes absolutely but then we also got to acknowledge of that

There’s sometimes Billy Donovan’s situational awareness is God awful yeah no on just the roster right so there’s still shortcomings that Billy Donovan has as a coach but then there are also short two things can be true at the same and I know you know I’m just saying it

For the nature of the conversation but there’s still two things could be true at the same time I hate it when people try to say oh it’s not Billy Donovan it’s the roster oh it’s not roster it’s Billy Donovan guess what it it’s both right now we and that’s where why we sit

In such a dark place because it’s both of them and I think I’m GNA be honest with you you put this roster anywhere else in the NBA put it anywhere else in the NBA to say that you got this roster to 500 you almost feel like he’s doing

Something right because this is not a good roster this is not a roster of players that I feel like should have success together especially with what we’ve had coming out of the second half of this the second half the post Allstar break like the the best success we talk

About is like hey if they don’t screw it up in the last two minutes they got it I mean I think we have a solid roster I think you just got to it’s not a great roster it’s not a terrible roster either but like it’s just with the roster that

You have you have to we we have we have the young pieces that all clearly play better with a faster pace and then we got these old players that don’t play good with a faster pace and we’re trying to mess it all together it it doesn’t work cats and

Dogs living together complete Calamity here’s here’s my question you outside of the rookies who have to be here how many players on this roster if you could like no salary cap Nothing is Stopping You would you keep on the roster Kobe IO Kobe IO OB Julian Phillips because I love what he’s flash

I’m saying I’m saying without okay outside of those guys so yeah Kobe I guess Kobe is also a rookie so Kobe and I Kobe iio drum because I think drum can fit on any roster regardless um I like T AC and I like Tory Craig as a veteran

Coming off the bench I think those are solid pieces you still got to find your star in there still got to find your star yeah the first two got to figure something out to become a superstar like that’s that’s the thing like all the names we said that’s the making we have

A team that is the makings of the greatest role player group in the NBA right now yeah but I think that that’s what you want to have and then when you hopefully organically find your Superstar much like when we got Derrick Rose you you didn’t had a team that was
