I get it… I’m a Mavs fan. I cheered for Dirk blah blah blah. I believe in my heart of hearts, That every night with Dirk, we could win that game. Kobe, Duncan, Shaq, LeBron… Whomever… Even when we were big underdogs, Dirk would put up the numbers to let us win.

He’s the greatest PF ever with only Durant having a chance of passing him so far.

Please don’t disrespect Timmy to build up Dirk, Duncan was better

Understandable based on Dirks mobility during O’Neal’s peak tenure in the early 2000s. Most teams played their biggest wing on Dirk because the stereotypical 4s of that era were typically either too big and slow, or just too small.

Only a few guys could truly give Dirk a fit, and the only guy I dreaded seeing him matchup against was Boris Diaw lol

Everyone complaining about him apparently saying Dirk was better than Duncan are idiots. He DID not say that anywhere.

Tougher to defend =/= better player.

Yes, Duncan was the better player. But Dirk absolutely, unequivocally was the better scorer, not to mention far more unconventional, and therefore difficult to match up with.

I’m not talking about Jermaine, I’m talking about the comment that claims Dirk was a better PF than Timmy. There is zero argument for it.
