[Smith] Privately, coaches and management know how deficient this group is. They aren’t horribly bothered because, as they say, “it is what it is” and they aren’t sweating it a whole lot.

    >But if they were hoping to find a 12th guy or a 13th guy here to fill next year’s roster, Wednesday’s game was telling.

    >Losing isn’t unexpected for this group as it’s built; not always putting out top effort is unacceptable.

    >And everyone in the decision-making chain saw it.

    >A starting group with, say, Gary Trent Jr. or Gradey Dick with RJ Barrett and Scottie Barnes is too small.

    >A starting group with Barrett, Barnes and a legit, rebounding strong four and suddenly they’re big enough.

just no more players other GMs given up on. like they are essentially trading us their flynns. no more son of masai’s friends either. we dont need that kind of nepotism lol

Follow Denver and Orlando’s model, two huge wings at 3 and 4. Scottie and Matas

  4. of the currently active guys, the only ones who should be part of our 10 man rotation next year are: Gradey, Gary and Olynyk. Ochai can be 11th man until he proves he’s developed his offense.

draft 2 good 1st round players. send the 2nd rounder to the g league.

and then get a free agent to fill out whichever role we need. backup PG or backup forward.

Thank fucking god. I was worried we’d try to win game. I’m hoping we lose out

Decent Doug article. Easy to agree that more size (and strength) is a key for next year, whether it’s in the draft or through free agency). Nice props to Temple too. Would be fine to see him back next year at the end of the bench.

  7. We really shouldn’t be concerned about the future of the team based off what we’re seeing today. Front office and coaches are doing their job by fielding a dog shit team to tank.

Losses are the same as wins right now.

Gradey is being force fed huge mins to develop his game in a zero expectation environment. He can fuck up as much as he wants so long as he learns from it- that’s a huge win for him and us long term. None of these guys playing will be on the squad next year unless they’re like the 12th-13th man off the bench so their performance is irrelevant.

We will likely have cap space in the summer. Our core is young and has potential. We have 5 established starters w locked in contracts , 2-3 decent bench players plus hopefully 3 draft picks this year. Why is everyone so bent out of shape out of the losses recently ?

Let the FO do their thing this summer and get concerned if we start having these monster losses in December.

Privately? It’s pretty public how deficient this group is, the current state of the roster overhaul, and the impact of a pile of injuries. I don’t think anyone’s sweating it.

We all know. It’s not exactly a secret.

I’m hopeful for our future. Next season should be fun.

We’re in the rebuilding phase. The next two years is seeing who in our roster is worth building around. I don’t get why people are so astonished this team is bad. That’s what a rebuilding team is.

I like how all these media members vision for the team is just building what they had in 2022 all over again lmao. A team with tall players everywhere but struggle to score at all in the half court and has terrible spacing. We already saw that didn’t work.

I’m all for adding more size, mainly off the bench. But you can’t really add size to this starting lineup unless guys take big shooting leaps or the player being add can shoot himself. And that’s just really hard to find
