Steph to his campers last summer: “I’m catching & shooting, I’m catching & ripping, or I’m catching & giving it up. If you hold the ball for one second, that’s a grenade, it blew up, and you’re done…you have .5 seconds to make a decision. That’s when you start to get the dominoes to fall.”



Hoop Herald re-upped this clip of Steph talking to his campers last summer and man does it feel apropos to this current Dubs team. What he’s talking about/describing, ie .5 basketball, is literally the opposite of how the starting lineup was playing for the last month and a half and that’s the style of play Steph is accustomed to and not just what he prefers, but what’s always been most successful. Aside from being frequently looked off, not playing .5 basketball probably has a lot to do with why Steph has looked so frustrated and just over it on the court the last several weeks.
