What I honestly remember most about this game is how Pau was dominating early and I thought we were going to cruise to a win. Then he got injured and it became a dog fight.
James Posey had a monster season in 2003-04. He played all 82 games, led the team in TS% by far, played great defense, and brought toughness that the young core needed.
The following season was more of a struggle. I don’t remember all the details, but he had some injuries and was in and out of starting the line up.
Of course, he ended up on the Heat and won a title with DWade and Shaq. Then ended up on the Celtics and won another one. Not surprising. He wasn’t always great, but when he was, he was one of the best role players in the league.

Damn, that first playoff season was 20 years ago. James Posey is one of my favorites. I remember watching him play for Houston and wanting the Grizzlies to grab him. I was ecstatic when they signed him.
