The man is an institution within the Pistons. All my favorite memories of watching this team had his audio running over it.

George has ‘lost a step,’ partly because I don’t think he can see the floor as clearly as he once did. He now sometimes confuses players. I don’t care. I used to watch NBA back feeds in the early days of satellite TV. When they broke for commercials those feeds stayed with the broadcast team. A lot of guys doing that job would get pretty nasty when they thought they were off the air. George was always the same gentleman he presents to the public. He can stay until he’s ready to retire as far as I’m concerned. I doubt it will be much longer.
