i was a laker fan my whole life cuz that’s what we’re told growing up in LA but i wanted to pick a team that has a loyal fanbase & i really like atlanta as a city (i want to move there one day) and red/yellow are my favorite colors so I am officially a hawks fan

The main difference you will notice is that when we draft poorly it actually matters. We can’t call up the commissioner and have him trade good players to our team for our bad players or call in behind the scenes pressure to force generational talent to sign with our team or demand a trade to our team.
We can’t have our former players become general managers on other teams and then trade their franchise player to us for our scraps(wait, that might have been the Celtics…….but who can tell the Lakers and Celtics apart, amirite?)
Simply put, we are on our own. You may misinterpret this as bad ownership, bad management, etc. The truth is, we are Atlanta. The path to a championship in Atlanta is uphill, while the path you are accustomed to seeing in LA was a downhill escalator.
If you can accept this and tough it out, you will become a better person.

Don’t know if I’d say loyal lol. Mostly because everyone is fighting over if we should keep Trae or Dejounte (they should keep both). It’s annoying af but if you can get past that, you got plenty of Jalen Johnson and Kobe Bufkin and more (when they’re healthy) to enjoy.

I also grew up a lakers fan. Moved to Atlanta 10 years ago when I was 22. I’d go to a bunch of Hawks games just because I like basketball. As of a couple years ago I acknowledge I’m not a Lakers fan anymore.
