  1. Maxey goes 7/26 and Niang’s fatass cooks us. What a day of Philly sports lol

  2. MarionberryOne5223

Tough. Fun game. Nurse has coached the end of the past two games very poorly.

  3. FxStryker

Oubre and Maxey go 9/37. Everyone else goes 33/57.

  4. IndigoJacob

Seriously fuck watching this team without Joel. Was glad I didn’t watch the last Clippers game and pissed I ruined my night watching this game.

How the fuck do you let Niang hang 25. Truly embarrassing stuff

  5. bruhboi2222

we beat every team in a 7 game series w Embiid

  6. Dazzling-Slide8288

3 points in two games is gonna cost us the 6th seed. Just extremely bad losses in the highest leverage situations.

  7. jorgelongo222

This team is just endless pain. 8th seed looking like a lock.

  8. CeleryOnReddit

It is bullshit they were able to check that but not the PG foul from the other night. This fucking league man, seriously out of whack priorities.

  9. leyendadelflash

Got no issues with Maxey taking that 3 at the end despite his bad shooting night. It’s his team till Jo is back and you live and die with him

  10. Man I hope the Cavs get the 2 seed so badly, we whoop their ass when we have embiid

  11. aegonthewwolf

2 winnable games lost back to back because Nicks been thoroughly outcoached in the 4th quarter.

  12. HappyGooner45

I hope we get Cleveland in the offs when we’re fully fit

  13. bravof1ve

2 games in a row where Maxey is pretty much the primary driver of the loss. We needed to win at least 1 of these to not be locked into the 8th seed at absolute best.

He’s been such a disappointment since Embiid has gone out. Decent volume stats but his efficiency has fallen off a cliff. He is statistically a below average scorer this year by adjusted TS. It is clear he is not a star that you can rely on to win games at this point.

  14. Wentzsylvania13

Back to back heartbreaking losses that basically cement us in the 8 seed

  15. thesixersdontexist

nurse is on fraud alert. he’s run maxey into the ground and he can’t close games

edit: at least give me a counter argument that isn’t “WeLl dOc RiVeRs bAd…”

  16. romanticynicist

Another game over 40 minutes for Maxey (42:34). Nurse gave him a whole 54 second rest in the 4Q, but otherwise he played the whole second half.

I don’t think it’s exactly a coincidence that he looked gassed tonight.

  17. Chiefster21

Call timeout to put Buddy in?

  18. GirlWithGame

I like our chances against anyone with Embiid back seed be damned. The team has actually shown me something these last few games even in the heart breaking losses. They got the pieces they just need the king back.

  19. I’m on a horror run of luck for my two basketball teams lately. Sixers lose 2 back to back winnable game and my nbl team loses a game that would have won them them the title.

  20. jeppsforst

I’m going to choose to look at positives bc I’m sick of getting upset after every loss. This team has played a lot of strong playoff teams close recently and this is before Joel is back. I promise not a single team in the east wants to see this team healthy

  21. Doggydoggywoof

Started the second half with 19 ended the game with 21, vintage performance. Maxey can have his bad games, crumbl man has to step up as the second option
Edit: he had 14 instead of 19, my bad.

  22. FxStryker

The team without Embiid is one of the worst in the league. Not even a play-in team, but a bottom 5 team.

Joel’s first half of the season is literally carrying them to the play-in.

  23. RatedBender

my only cope is that any team that doesnt blow us out without embiid and melton gotta know they aren’t contenders after the game

  24. HoagieTwoFace

Embiid missing a mere 20 games this season instead of 40 probably gets us the 2 seed

  25. Equivalent-Taste-379

This game just confirms to me that a healthy sixers rinse every team not named the Celtics.

The handoffs in our offense will looks so much better when we have a stronger screen setter and a player with embiids gravity.

Lowry and hield have been such excellent additions and I’m actually quite impressed with Bamba.

Maxey has had a rough game or two but he’s just not a number one option quite yet. He still needs to get a little better at breaking people down off the dribble but I love that he’s trying to use the mid range a little more. I’m interested in what he can pick up from Lowry. Hopefully maxey can learn how to leverage the high pick n roll more.

I’m not too fussed about losing games as long as the sixers still make the playoffs.

  26. Thegrandmistressofoz

So many games in this stretch where Maxey plays amazing and then the rest of the team shoots 3/55.

There’s also *a fair amount* of games where the rest of the team keeps us in while Maxey has his new worst game of his career.

  27. XxStormySoraxX

Nick Nurse did not call a good offense down the stretch of this game at all.

  28. Give the Sixers some credit for battling and sticking around in some of these games against tough teams, but you wish they would’ve stole 1 or 2 of these games. 6th seed isn’t out of reach, but it soon will be.

  29. We can really only lose one game at most for the rest of the season to have a good shot at the sixth seed. It’s definitely possible if Embiid comes back next week since most of our remaining games are against bottom feeders, but it’s unlikely. If we beat the Heat, we have a good chance of being the 7th seed. If we lose, we’re pretty much locked into the 8th seed.

  30. Knight725

i’m fine when maxey doesn’t shoot well, it happens. but i can’t fucking stand when maxey clearly doesn’t have it and then he’s out there for 44 minutes chucking up the hardest shots you could possibly take on an nba basketball court play after play.

i generally like what nurse has done and it’s clearly a better coached team but my god man.

  31. Dudes really don’t wanna give George the max lmao yea pay these role players instead of a star this is the result

  32. jeppsforst

Maxey 43 minutes, Payne 5 minutes should never ever happen in any regular season game. Ridiculous what Nurse has done to Maxey the last week with these minutes

  33. Dotdueller

You already know Joel is pushing the front office to let him play asap. Honestly they played well as a team. If Maxey or Oubre had a decent game, we would’ve won. At least they’re playing semi-competitive half the time without the former MVP on the court.

  34. obese_rag_rappy

8 seed looking very likely. there’s no way they’re going to run off win after win even with embiid back while he’s working on his conditioning. can’t wait to watch him play again though

  35. ComeAtMeYo

Just get PG-13 please. Buddy while we’re at it. Really need another shot creator. Minimums like Lowry/Payne will suit the team just fine.
