[@BiasedHouston] Kyrie Irving on Jalen Green:
“Seeing (Jalen’s) maturity, seeing his acension as a young leader in our league and him answering all the naysayers.”
“We had a defense baked in for him. When you’re having that type of stretch, we’re going to make it a little bit tougher on you.”

They were doubling him nearly every time he touched the ball and he was still getting good looks on drives. He’s gotten much better with identifying defenses and knowing how to attack them. He wasn’t getting too favorable of a whistle though and he couldn’t get too many free throws to get into a rhythm for his 3. Worst part of his game was a few bad passes.
I think once the offense gets more consistency and Sengun comes back to make a double more risky then it’ll be fine.
Their defense on him worked well. Credit to them.
This is why we need Alpi back. Someone to divert the defense so they can’t double. Alpi is also much harder to guard in a defensive scheme.
