With all our injury issues this season it seems like Mikal Bridges would almost fit us perfectly.
He’s got an insane Ironman streak, nova boy, wouldn’t have to create too many of his own shots, and is a great defender with long arms.
Man people are making a mountain out of a molehill with Hart’s comment. He was essentially saying the guys who are active need to focus on who they have and not who might be coming back when. That’s a completely normal way of thinking for athletes in any sport who have injured teammates.
Does he have info or is he just running his yap
The discourse around these injuries, particularly for Randle, is so draining lol.
1. I’m tired of all these reporters wasting our time giving these non-updates. None of these dudes (Shams, Begley, etc.) know shit. Woj is the only one that has any real sources in the FO….so anyone else talking about this stuff is simply talking out of their ass.
2. Can we please stop with the doom and gloom over Randle not being cleared yet? Playing him in these games right now is a big risk, and they want to preserve him for the playoffs. News flash: They aren’t going to clear him for full contact until they’re actually ready to bring him back to play. It makes no sense to clear him for contact now and then sit him until the playoffs (or close to it).
3. As for OG, I think it makes sense there’s more concern over him and his elbow than Randle per se…but still I don’t think we need to be going this crazy over it. His elbow is inflamed, he just needs rest to calm it down.
All in all, these reporters don’t know shit and we should all calm down. Playoffs begin in 20 days, that’s enough time for Randle and OG to continue to rest, rehab, and get prepared for the real games. Just trust the Knicks FO and medical staff. They haven’t given us any reason to not trust what they’re doing, so let’s just see it play out.
Edit: And this comment isn’t directed towards anyone specifically, especially not you OP. I’m just speaking generally about the stuff I’ve seen on Twitter and this sub.
FWIW I rather have OG if I had to choose. Randle would be on a questionable shoulder while OG shows his impact on defense right off the bat.
I still don’t trust any reporters tbh
Makes sense since OG probably needs the swelling to go away to be back
Team hasn’t provided an update on Randle. They also fumbled the OG injury, so they open themselves up to speculation.
Like if Randle is out for the year just announce it. Fans are probably making plans to buy playoff tickets by now and would like to know who’s gonna be on the team. Some people travel and spend a lot of money for these games. What good does being silent about it do?
I don’t think we care about seeding. I think the front office said let’s see what happens if we rest these guys til 3 games before the playoffs. One week to ramp up, and just go for it. I think we can win a series even without them, but obviously we need them to avoid a Jalen Brunson double team every possession.
Literally all Hart said was he was going to worry about the guys who can play, and when those who have been out are healthy enough to play, that would be a pleasant surprise and people raaaaaaaan with that, lol.
No wonder pso many players/coaches don’t like doing media.
Good. A healthy OG is significantly more impactful than Randle.
These talking heads say so many words without saying anything at all.
We can win a series without Randle.
We can’t win the chip but we can keep improving.
The Knicks clear people to play Too Soon. It was true with OG, it was true with Mitch. The fact that Randle hasn’t been cleared yet… I think he needs surgery
