Lakers can get to the 6th seed

Going 6-1 in these remaining 7 games seems very reasonable considering the competition. I think the 1 loss will be against the Cavs. That would put us at 48-34. Other game that might be tricky is Minnesota but lakers at home have been really good.

Suns: I see them finishing 4-3. Splitting wolves and clippers games. Losing to Cavs. That puts them at 48-34 with lakers holding tiebreaker.

Kings: I think they end up plummeting hard with no Monk. I see them finishing 3-5 with wins over nets, blazers, Knicks/pels. Really tough schedule and would argue this is more tough than the suns schedule. That puts them at 46-36.

Pelicans: This one will be the hard one to pass but possible. I can see them finishing 3-4. Wins over spurs, blazers, kings. Losses vs lakers, warriors, suns, magic. That puts them at 48-34.

Lakers would own tiebreakers in this situation putting them firmly at 6 with a matchup against Minnesota or okc.

Like your optimism, but we’re not gonna 6-1 with Minnesota, Cleveland, pelicans and the warriors left. Minnesota and Cleveland are b2b is I remember correctly. We’re just to inconsistent for that.

Think we just need to focus on a single game at the time, and see where we at. Pelicans are just to far, suns are on a winning streak. Passings kings is a realistic one.

this is exactly what Ham wanted. he needs to go if we dont make it AT LEAST to WCF like last season.

  3. The only team I can see us beating is the warriors, everyone else is a hard matchup although we may beat Minnesota considering how the last few games were tilted towards us

  4. Can but will they? Highly unlikely lmao

Just have to pray now Denver won’t get the first seed.

I think gsw would be the toughest match up here considering the significance of the outcome for the standings. The rest are missing some key players Wolves and Pels.

By tomorrow we could be half a game back from Kings. Just got to take care of our business and hope those Flippers don’t shit the bed

Well, anything is possible in the wild world of sports! Who knows, maybe the Lakers will make a comeback and surprise everyone.

We’ll be 7th seed after the next two games. You read it here first.

I’d be happy to see them make the 7th spot to avoid having to win back to back games in the play in. This team is way too inconsistent to expect them to go 6-1

Brother give me the 8 seee and I’d be happy holy fucks

We can but we shouldn’t be heavily invested in getting it

  12. shoefly72

There is 0 chance at the 6, 0 lol.

I’ll be happy if we can get to the 8 and decide our fate somewhat.

6th or 7th seed is definitely possible now with the Pelicans losing to the Suns. The Suns, Kings and Pelicans all have to play each other and no matter who wins in those matchups, the Lakers will be able to make up ground.

Lakers just have to take care of business on their end. Three of their tough games are at home, which makes it much more winnable. Final positioning may actually come down to their final regular season game @ New Orleans.

Anything is possible as these Phx Minn and Pels all have tough schedules. But I agree 7 or 8 seed will be sufficient as long as we dont end up playing Denver in the first round. With Vando coming back soon, everything appears to be lining up for a deep playoff run like last year. Defense has been their only challenge, especially at the point of attack. Vando solves a lot of issues. If Vincent gets dialed in defensively, we will have 3 solid poa defenders with Dinwiddie. Bodes well for us on a championship run.

Let’s focus on the win today, and let everything else fall as it may.

  16. I’m just surprised they have a legit chance of hitting over 45 games. This season felt lost after the IST & the injuries

  17. Angularbackhands

The Lakers are more likely to lose in the play in than to get the 6th seed. This is bordeline futile. Not happening. Not jumling 3 teams with 6 games to go.

  18. hanselpremium

a series with minnesota would be very interesting

  19. It’s way more likely we end up at the 10th seed.

  20. RedeemedShank

lol ain’t happening. Suns got hot at just the right time and are dominating good teams now.

We are going to stay at the 9th seed and will have to win two play-in games just to make the playoffs. And we still have to win anything in spite of having the worst coach in the NBA Starvin Scam. Deal with it.
