Caitlin Clark came out in ATTACK MODE! TAKE OVER MODE! – Andraya Carter | Get Up

Was a spectacular matchup lived up in every way it’s Caitlyn Clark it’s Angel ree it’s a rematch of last year’s National Championship Andrea right off the bat Caitlyn came out firing you’re 100% right greeny Caitlyn Clark came out in attack mode LSU was going under the screens from the start and Caitlyn said

Oh you must have forgotten who I am but Angel Reese tried to put LSU on her back with her playmaking and her skill in that first half she was the best player on the floor in the first half angel Reese was but then this happened a critical moment Angel ree who was

Already nursing an ankle goes down here and this was a problem dreo yeah and this was tough and Angel ree didn’t look quite the same after this moment I know she came back she’s a fighter she’s a resilient but she didn’t look quite the same for the rest of the game after this

Screening right would not make excuses afterwards but clearly she was impaired by that and then kitlyn Clark spectacular there in the final moments of a spectacular first half we were tied at 45 at the break and Angel ree had 13 Caitlyn Clark had 19 and then in the

Third quarter Drea it was all Caitlyn Clark all right what I say about the start of the game Caitlyn Clark came out in attack mode at halim she came out in takeover mode she was 110,000 per in her bag in that third quarter knocked down four threes got to that left hand

Multiple times from Deep range bottom of the net every single time when you talk about a player being in the zone that was watch The Retreat dribble again just getting to her spot creating space for that beautiful three-point shot we saw everything from Caitlyn but that third quarter was magnificent 12 points for

Caitlyn Clark in the third then it’s defense and we’re going the other way it’s Clark with a great pass Iowa an 11-point lead after three to the fourth quarter we go just over 5 minutes left Iowa is looking to put it away after the fancy play there Caitlyn Clark would

Score 41 on this night and Haley van lith just had no answers all night long Dron yeah listen at one point you just have to put your hands up watch Haley van right here hands up shrug I can’t help you I gave you the best I could

That’s all you’re going to get from me do you know who I’m guarding Caitlyn Clark was phenomenal this play was beautiful just engage Angel re up and drop the ball off for Hannah sty to go get it and lay it in I’m telling you it was a master class truly it was a

Special performance 41 points 12 assists Iowa back in the final four the moment there with Kim Maly the moments continue for cl Caitlyn Clark cutting down the Nets and headed to Cleveland for the final four let’s hear from the players after the game it’s amazing to be back in the

Final four it’s so hard to get there especially with this region and how loaded this region was but you know we told ourselves we’re the one seed for a reason you know we’ve earned this we deserve to be in these moments we’re prepared for these moments we want to

Win two more and you know I think we have the power to do that she’s just a generational player and um she just makes everybody around her better um what did I say to her I said I sure am glad you leaving I said girl you something else never seen anything like

It all right so we may I blew out everything else this morning here for the beginning of the show and let’s dive into it legler is here watched all of it last night dreo was terrific on the carbage and Rebecca of course you were Courtside calling the action last night

With Ryan ruko and it was terrific and I just want to start with with the atmosphere as one who was covered sports for 35 years the observation I made at the beginning the anticipation felt more like a heavyweight title fight then it felt like a basketball game and then it

Came out and lived up can you describe what it was like in the building last night it felt like a a national championship type of atmosphere the building was completely sold out the two teams have incredible fan bases even before the game started the energy was

At level 10 you had just cheers going back and forth between LSU and Iowa fans even just walking around the city it had that final four fan uh feel every fan was walking around wearing their gear and I tell you what it was really interesting at shootarounds in the

Morning both teams were really loose I think because both have been there before both played for the national championship a season ago but you did not sense any kind of tightness as they were getting ready for the game it was just sort of a laser focus and and the

Players were looking forward to this big moment all of them talked to us about the fact that this could reach 10 million viewers they knew it was a really hyped game they knew there were going to be a lot of eyeballs on it and they were all ready to live up to that

Moment so Jay you and I were talking before the show this morning and we were going over some of the X’s and O’s and there was one decision that LSU made defensively last night that I know you are still puzzled by and may well have gone a long way towards deciding the

Game yeah 100% Rebecca touched on it as she was calling the game but I’m telling you the decision and I’m I haven’t been a coach I’ve never coached a basketball game in my life but the decision to have Haley van lith be the primary defender on Caitlyn Clark at times felt criminal

To me I mean if you watch Caitlyn this is last year PO on Caitlyn Clark but at this point Caitlyn was already in her bag look at this The Retreat dribble the elevation over a high hand from Angel Reese Caitlyn Clark got going so early and there was no stopping her here she

Makes a play anticipating on the defense look at all the eyes on Caitlyn Clark three players turn their head they don’t even see Sydney a are streaking down the floor and who finds them Caitlyn Clark all eyes are on Caitlyn Caitlyn’s eyes are on her teammates she is scanning the

Floor and this is the matchup that I was talking about this is just a tough coverage Haley van L is 57 Caitlin Clark is 6 foot Haley’s like I don’t know what you want me to do at this point it didn’t feel fair to Haley to leave her

On an island like that like Not only was Haley on Caitlyn but then post players they weren’t coming up so you had a mismatch and then you had a post in drop coverage it just didn’t feel like like a fair situation to at least make life a little bit more difficult for Caitlyn

And just to spin it into a positive Caitlyn took advantage every single time but that’s what the greats do what did you see last night Rebecca again sitting there Courtside how would you describe as one who played with and has seen all of the best players in the history of

The sport how would you describe what you saw from Caitlyn Clark last night yeah it was one of the Epic performances we’ve grown acco accustomed uh from her I mean this is a young woman all season long and she even talked about she’s had the weight of the world

On her shoulders the thing is she doesn’t mind the weight of the world on her shoulders I mean she’s been going for records all season long she’s had eyeballs on her all season long and she’s continued to live up to the moment and I what I was so impressed with with

Caitlyn yesterday was the balance of how she played she started the game early attacking the rim getting inside not just over State how great her performance was when you think about the level of scrutiny the level of ition that Caitlyn Clark was going to get

Going into this game on this stage to be that patient and make every right read that she had to make whether it was a shooter or a playmaker you can’t overstate it it’s so difficult to slow yourself down mentally in those moments when you want it so bad and you’re

Getting that much attention to play with that kind of poise I thought you know a lot of her shots last night I just found her getting to her balance sometimes when you watch Caitlyn Clark and she gets frenetic with with some of these deep jumpers her body drifts so far in

One Direction or the other it just pulls the ball a little bit she was getting her feet under her last night and again it speaks to a player honing in to such an extent and understanding the mechanics were going to be critical in this game to pull this off can’t say

Enough about it look greeny when you when you prepare to play any player and you’re trying to you know come up with the game plan you’re basically preparing for where the ball is going to be and now everything falls in place according to that when you go through walkr go

Through film that’s what it’s all predicated on when the ball’s here we’re going to do this the problem is when you have a player with this level of escapeability with her handle and that level of range you can’t account for where the ball is going to be to execute

The kind of game plan that you even want that’s what that skill level does and and then you also need at least one player to really step up and they had multiple but Kate Martin you cannot say enough about how well Kate Martin played to give her just enough of a pressure

Release to allow Caitlyn Clark to do her thing you know Andrea when you were with me on Friday before the the uh the sweet 16 games you were definitely skeptical about Iowa’s chances of making it to the final four you thought Colorado was a toss up thought they would really

Struggle on this night why are they going what did they do that you weren’t certain they’d be able to they’re going greeny because of Caitlyn Clark’s teammates like they are in the final four because what have we seen from Caitlyn we’ve seen these type of masterclass Clinic performances but

Listen coming into the tournament during the regular season let’s just talk about the two players that stepped up yesterday Sydney a falter and Kate Martin Kate Martin in the regular season averaged 11 and 1 half points against top 25 opponents Sydney falter averaged four points against top 25 opponents

What did they put up against the reigning national champions Kate Martin had 21 Sydney and falter had 16 they both played above and beyond they both played with immense confidence and that’s what I’ve been looking for from this Iowa team because Caitlyn can eat but just think about it numerically if

Those two players just get what they averaged against top 25 opponents Iowa doesn’t win so those two players stepping up making plays and at one point you know Tim was just talking about how it’s hard to resist putting pressure on that and it’s hard to resist slowing yourself down you got to figure

That out Kate Martin and Sydney falter they didn’t take advantage as far as creating opportunities for themselves they let it come to them they stayed within the game plan they stayed within the flow and they just played lights out it was remarkable to watch those two but even Gabby Marshall played great defense

Hannah stoky running the floor you got it from everybody Rebecca and we’ll have all morning they didn’t just let it come to them yeah oh I they didn’t just let it come to them they let Caitlyn Clark hand deliver it to them that’s what’s been so remarkable if you’re on the

Floor with Caitlyn Clark you’re G to get layups you’re G to get open threes this is an Iowa team that led the nation in three-pointers per game led the nation in points per game all of it is fueled by the engine that is Caitlyn Clark she simply makes things so much easier for

All of her teammates and anytime you have a team that can consistently make threes you can pull what might be have been considered an upset which it felt like going into the game last night that Iowa was a little bit of the underdog even though they were the one seed yeah

They were the one seed they were yeah go ahead Andrea they were one and a half Point favored very quick go well I was going to say Greenie what do we say to watch Caitlyn Clark’s shot chart before the game yesterday what do we say to

Watch the shot chart and her assists she had 12 assists and she had balanced scoring I’m telling you that was the Key he

  1. People remember Clark for DECADES… if not longer.

No one will remember the antics (trashy) of LSU, their psycho coach, and Reese.

    Clark is Women's Basketball.

  2. Good job by angel and Caitlin for leading their teams. Both had good games. The better team just won. Shout out to all these young ladies for playing great. Btw, Really sucks how these young ladies arent angry with each other, yet u have a bunch of middle age and old people, whos lives suck, interjecting and making this into a racial thing. Younger people arent obsessed with the same type of nonsense older people are obsessed with. Too bad the old bitter people , who are living vicariously through these young athletes, have yet to figure this out

  3. Clark must develop a pull-up mid range jumper into her game, she can slip screens and her movements with the 🏀 that can set up cuts and passes that be wolling defenses to sleep, UConn gonna prepare for the slip n screens and cuts.

  4. While Clark is college's best player as she showed last night, she also showed her weakness. She tends to over play her passing and on several occasions she committed a lot of mistakes that led to LSU scoring points. She can't make those mistakes against UConn otherwise they will watch UConn and SC play for the National Championship

  5. Angle Thug Reese is doing exactly what we knew would happen……..blaming the loss on racism and threats. What a chump race baiting loser

  6. Hey, I'm from the west suburbs of Chicago and I have pick-up basketball with the best ( you name them) I watch – C C , play yesterday here in Tucson,Az – She is entertaining – GO- C C . from Sam Hampton LaGrange,Ill.

  7. Top star player from all sweet 16 ladies tournament this yr. Im gonna have u photo sbot at the one mansion for the summer edition sports illustrated magazine

  8. I'm so glad that Iowa won!! Good for them. In case you didn't know, LSU walked off the court before our National Anthem was played. Iowa stayed. Shame on LSU for disrespecting our country and flag. Then Angel Reese claims victimhood after losing while she's been nothing but a woke bully. Pathetic!!

  9. i really like angel but she spends too much time on her image and her looks, she should worry about those things when shes not playing basketball, in her personal life, she shouldnt do that on the court, theres no need for that.

  10. the weight of the world on her shoulders… and she was Clutch… A la Michael Jordan….. She has set womens basket ball on fire. Attack, Attack, Attack. Just like Jordan and Kobe… she is FUN to watch… I hope she wins the whole dam thing… 2 more games Caitlin Two more Games.

  11. OK I'm listening to this and it's 80% through and not one mention of the fact that LSU left the floor during the National Anthem then I looked over and saw the Logo of the content creator, Leftist ESPN, No Wonder, Pathetic and by the time I finished this comment the post was over and still no mention. KARMA LSU ! Another Woke Joke.

  12. The excitement and knowledge base of the ESPN team yesterday (and in all games leading up) was exemplary! One of the best commentator teams I’ve ever heard or seen in my 65 years

  13. Come on!!! I knew this was gonna happen. I knew they would say AR wasn’t 100%. CC was best player the whole night!!!

  14. Van Lith on Clark was criminal. But you can't put Johnshon on Clark when Clark is drving the lane—Johnson draws fouls, and Johnson is the Tigers best player. Mulkey and LSU were a class act but unfortunatley Iowa has a superstar who runs with a fab four.

  15. Stop making excuses, Andraya. Little Kim made that decision, blame her. Not that it would have mattered!

  16. NOT!! IMPRESSED WITH ANGEL REESE GAME NOT AT ALL!! this was built up to be her against catilin, angels game was subpar to be rated a superstar her in the paint moves need to be seriouly worked up, her post up game needs alot of work, her back to the basket need a lot work, she has no mid range jumper but people see her as a top player…NOT IMPRESSED! if she was so good she should of been a take over the game person. like a lot of these woman in the game, IF YOU WANT TO REALLY GET GOOD INSIDE i suggest you get with a male player and learn some inside game inside moves and work on a mid range and around the basket moves,,, IF ALOT OF POST PLAYERS IN COLLEGE DO THIS PUT IN THE WORK EVEN ANGEL, THEIR GAME WOULD BE AWESOME, I WONDER WHAT KOBE'S DAUGHTER WOULD OF BEEN LIKE WITH HIS TEACHINGS.
