Tough loss. Brunson had a slow start. Some of those calls by the refs really killed our momentum it feels like. Couple positives are Deuces continued strong play and Bojan had a break out game. Josh Hart had a couple careless turnovers. He has to find ways to be more aggressive on offense he played 45 mins and only attempted 3 shots ( 1 being a half court heave before the half). I thought it was a mistake for Thibs to sub out Bojan when we needed offense. Donte should have checked in for Hart.

It honestly seems like Thibs and co. Strategy is to simply hold on until the end of the season and then get a healthy OG back for the playoffs. Problem is we aren’t holding on to much right now.
Bro with OG and Randle I’m not scared of anyone in the playoffs. Even if they’re on restricted minutes it still be enough.

tough loss. Brunson tried to do a little too much tbh, especially at the end when he just wasn’t hitting.
But if Terry wasn’t on like he was, I still think we could have won this game. Unreal performance by him. Some of those contested shots he was hitting were insane.

Rough three game stretch, but this team is still playoff ready. Some of the comments I read in this sub make me wonder how people survived as Knicks fans for this long, because I’ve seen some **SHIT** and this team is much closer to gold than those dark ages.
Brunson is TIRED, no slander against him. This kind of night Randle would drop 30 to make up for Brunson off.
He dropped 60pts and we still lost. It’s getting later in the season teams need the wins, without a healthy team we are going nowhere long term. OG or Randle is needed.
Said this in the game thread, seeing this awful pattern that is getting the knicks nowhere, losing games but instead of getting blown out and just take the L, like the spurs loss, making fake comebacks to keep extending brunson, hart, deuce and divo’s minutes but getting no reward because whether they lose by 1 or 40, still losses and you can see despite the great effort, this team is running on empty. Now officially the 5th seed, soon to be 6th and won’t be surprised if playing in the playin
Don’t blame the refs we were just…not good
Won’t get discussed, but Haywood Highsmith did as good a job on Brunson as I can recall this year.
Will get slightly more discussed, I thought Bogey was good. It’s always going to be about shot making with him, but I thought he was both stronger with the ball and had a better process then I’ve come to expect.
Missed most of the game but caught the last 5-6 minutes.
I like Brunson but I feel like giving him the ball, isoing him to one side of the court and telling him to make something happen is not the move down the stretch in these close games. It wasn’t smart when it was Randle and it doesn’t seem smart now, even if Jalen is a more capable bucket getter. This is like the 2nd or 3rd game in a row where I feel like this is the only thought going into the offense down the stretch.
I feel like if Spo and Thibs traded places, we win this game.

The positive take I have from this is that Bog had a really good game. McBride was good as well.
Our guys look tired though. The injuries and starters having to play heavy minutes is catching up with us.
I see that the Knicks are playing the Kings next…great. Sigh.
The refs suck and the Knicks need to stop making silly mistakes but the injuries have just hurt this team so much.
