Led by Nikola Jokicโ€™s 42 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists, the Denver Nuggets defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 110-105. Aaron Gordon (23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists) and Michael Porter Jr. (15 points, career-high 16 rebounds) added a combined 38 points for the Nuggets in the victory, while Victor Wembanyama tallied 23 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists and 9 blocks for the Spurs in the losing effort. The Nuggets have won back-to-back games as they improve to 53-23 on the season, while the Spurs fall to 18-58.

Victor Wembanyama becomes the third player since blocks were recorded in 1973-74 with 23+ points, 15+ rebounds, 8+ assists and 9+ blocks, joining:

  2. The only reason the Nuggets were able to pull this game out was because they had Nikola Jokic and Wemby is only a rookie. Spurs are going to be a force by Wembyโ€™s third year in the league.

  3. Denver has a very weak bench and really missing Jamal. The terrible bench could cost them a second title. GM got lazy and owner needed to spend a little more money to repeat.

  4. Last place team made it unexpectedly close with the first place team. But Wemby just doesn't have the clutch play in him.
