It sounds like the plan is basically to hope his shoulder magically stops hurting? That’s…seems unlikely.
I’m not sure I’m buying this outta Thibs. So it’s on Randle when he feels comfortable to take contact again? If that was the case, knowing him, he would have been on the floor last night.
As has been the case for the past two months, they’re giving Randle as much time as possible for his shoulder to regain strength.
I truly think they’re just gonna keep him out until right before the end of the szn and get him reps the last week of the regular season.
makes total sense. he came back from ankle surgery without worrying enough about full contact and it took him a long time to get comfortable on the court.
sounds like they learned from that and they’re taking that into acct with this rehab cycle. idk how every single knicks-related tweet has to get spun into doom. these are boiler-plate responses to questions that thibs is delivering off the cuff.
I made the mistake of reading Twitter comments. Those dudes are regarded.
I find it hard to believe if he comes back that he be in game shape and be able to pick up where he left off. Not a knock on handle, but it takes time to rehab and get back into your rhythm.
I’m hopeful but this season feels like a big “what if” due to all the injuries.
