The forsberg four and of course it’s all about Jaylen who you know look I know there was a lot of consternation about that contract he signed over the summer but Jaylen Brown has responded with his best all-around season of his career he has been fantastic I think he’s tracking

Defensive field goal percentage is actually tied with teammate Derek white he’s holding opponents to 44.6% from the field that’s 2.8% below expected the only player with a better below expectation on the team is his cookies and cream partner christops porzingis Jaylen has been just fantastic defensively this season he clearly made

It a priority we remember back to Media day him talking about wanting to get all defense votes for the entire starting five about him wanting to be on that all defense team and you look at all the talent they got here you’re like wait there’s so much talent how can he

Keeps taking on the challenge and he’s been fantastic regardless who who’s on the other side he deserves all defensive votes voters keep him in mind when you’re filling out your ballot even when you’re checking Derek white and Drew holiday and all that the second number 10.3 that is jaylen’s turnover

Percentage this season that’s down 1.1% from last year when everybody was on his case about some some and rightfully so because he did get loose with the ball at times but his assist percentage is up to 17% that’s the second high of his of his career only 2022 was higher this

Season Jaylen has seven games appropriate for his jersey number with 25 points and zero turnovers that is the third most in the NBA only trailing Brunson and Maxi look every season Jaylen goes and comes back with something in his game strengthened and I think it’s clear this year that would

Probably come down to ball handling and the vision like he’s going to set up probably a a a a personal best and assist per game it’s not a high elevation but when he’s taking care of the basketball and maximizing possessions good things happen and you and I just think Jaylen deserves so much

Credit and often showing off that left hand when he’s ball handling and getting to the rim as well number three plus 9.0 that is Boston’s net rating in the 713 minutes that jayen is on the court with Jason off here’s why this matters in past Seasons the Celtics have

Struggled regardless of who’s on the court but especially when it’s just been jayen out there without Jason in fact over the F the previous Four Seasons the Celtics were only plus 1.4 with Jaylen on and Jason off but this year that number 9.0 is only 0.5 off what the Jays

Out to me top 12 guys on that list all their numbers are up in the rafters Jason Jaylen I think they got a chance to get there as well but we sometimes take it for granted how good Jaylen is and how impactful he’s been how long he’s been a part of this now

And how far into the future he could be here and a key piece to it numbers like this kind of hammer home just how good he’s been and I’m telling you keep your eye on Jaylen in this postseason could be key to getting Banner 18 up there
