People do not understand how positive guys like this are for development. Not only is he a decent player, but he’s very knowledgeable. These guys serve as an on-the-court coach. I’m sure Vuk appreciates having a guy in his ear. Gill should be kept around as a Haslem type for sure.

I was half-joking to myself that he should be the coach one day. But he really could be a coach in the future.

Didn’t click the link, but if this is the mic’d up clip from last night, he was literally coaching Vuk up on the spot. Someone, it may have been on here, brought up how Garrett Temple is still on a roster at 37. Gill can follow a similar path, and hopefully he sticks here, because he’s got value to this team. As they go through a substantial tear-down/rebuild, having a guy like him on the roster is necessary.

Most every time Gill gets in the game he makes an impact in some way. He may not be the biggest or the fastest but he will give effort and the man can make plays. Great teammate, good player.
