Yeah rondos gonna end up very underrated in basketball history, a lot of kids today don’t even know who he is

  2. It’s not that crazy tbh. Ja has had MVP upside and Rondo was never even the best PG in the league. Maybe at best he was #2 but he was always firmly behind CP3 and was more likely in the 3-5 range even at his peak. Never an adept scorer and became much worse at defense. Also, the whole offense funneled through him so his assists were inflated. What am I missing?

Well, they’re both good at pulling their gun out at people, I guess Ja is just a little better

  4. I’m more curious about 31-44 tbh. Idk how they’re ranking it but Ja did have a hell of a 2 seasons if we’re going by peak instead of total career.

Rondo remains one of the last **true** point guards. He was consistently getting up 10 assists per night (like a PG *should!*) and dropped 44 on LeBron and the Heat in the ECF. The dude could fucking ball.

That 44pt ECF game in 2011 performance from him was nuts. 16-24 shooting, 2-2 from 3, 10-12 from the line to go with 8 REB, 10 AST, 3 STL. LeBron had 33 on 7-20, 2-6 from 3, and **18-24** FT. Rondo was such a high-energy baller and that remains one of the greatest single-game performances from a player in the history of the game. Rondo was so good Wade had to clothesline him (where was the whistle!?) to stop him.

Ja can never be as good of a passer as Rondo, doesn’t see the floor the same way. Only thing he’s better at is athletic dunks which never could be 6’1″ Rondo’s strength.

  6. kpopvapefiend

Ja is basically a better version of jordan poole with some fancy dunks. Not even a top 10 guard in the current NBA. Most over hyped player of the last decade. Rondo has 2 rings, assist titles, all defense teams, all nba. Smdh

  7. Stiffbiscut

Rondo will never get the credit he deserves. There’s a recent video of him playing Tyrese maxey one on one and rondo tears him apart. It really goes to show how much of a veteran he is and how high his basketball IQ is

this is some grade A bullshit. whoever made that list has lost all credibility. Rondo is better than Ja at everything E V E R Y T H I N G. put rookie Rondo on a nobody team and watch him average 25/10/15 nightly with some random 50 pt games. he didn’t tho cuz he was literally drafted into a super team and still managed to carry games throughout his time here.

  9. GeneralSquid6767

Rondo was the reason I started watching the Celtics. First time we got NBA TV in my country the first thing I saw was a rookie Rondo in 07 hitting a reverse layup. Rest is history.

  10. DarthNutsack

Lebron was just talking about how Rondo is one of the smartest players he’s ever played with/against.

  11. Jegagne88

Hilarious how people forget just how dominant rondo was. He controlled a championship team – everything ran through him. Floor general with top tier defense. Nonsense to think ja is even in the same discussion right now

  12. TroyBarterSales

I wouldn’t trade prime rondo for any other pg. that prime just didn’t last long enough to get the recognition it deserves

  13. minimumhatred

they had Iverson at 7 and LeBron at 5. Lebron played two seasons at PG and Iverson played only 56% of his minutes at PG. CP3 at 9? Behind Steve Nash?

It’s a joke of a list made strictly for engagement, they have DeAaron Fox at 43.

  14. ProofSinger3638

why do we have to make things up and pretend rondo was a top 10 player when he was just a solid guy

he is a pioneer of a domineering personality and forcing his coach to help him stat pad. I feel like his peak was over by 2012 ish , was never as good again. He stopped looking to score by then. By the time he was on Dallas he was throwing games and quitting on teams. If he knew his team was bad he wouldn’t try and he would let everyone know that we stink. Probably why he fit with lebron

i got a signed rondo plaque on my wall right in front of me, a giant photo of him blowing by Kobe in the 08 finals. He was instantly one of my favorite players in the league by year 2.
