I stay positive knowing that regular season often means very little in this newer era of the NBA. The Heat just went to the Finals last year as a play-in team. They were a bad final quarter away from not making the playoffs. Then they essentially cruised to a Finals berth with no true superstars (a 3 game slide against the Celtics aside). Butler is great, but he’s a tier 2 or 3 star.
The playoffs are carried by superstars and we have arguably the best player in the game (certainly the best two way player unquestionably) and one of the best clutch time players ever. You don’t have to win pretty in the playoffs.
