[95.7] Kerr on if Kuminga will start tonight “Whether he starts or not, it’s up in the air. We’re gonna meet as a staff. We’ve won 4 in a row starting TJD with Draymond on the front line. In the past, the way I’ve handled things, if our team is playing well, I generally stay with the same group”

  1. Kuminga should come off the bench for two reasons imo:

    1. Draymond can play the 5, but prolonged periods battling against dudes with 3+ inches on him and many more pounds will increase the risk of injury in the long run and on a per-game basis, and will leave him gassed and unable to perform in the way he has these last few games. Playing more of his minutes with TJD will not only allow Draymond to have more energy, but it allows Draymond to play more often as a help defender which is arguably one of his strengths.

    2. Kuminga isn’t better than Wiggins at spacing the floor, playing within the offensive system, or defending so he can’t replace him. Also, if they play together, Kuminga will be taking shots that would otherwise go to Wiggins largely bec. At this point, we all know what an aggressive vs a passive Wiggins looks like.

Off the bench is the answer, we on a roll right now

Kuminga 6th man I’m fine with it. Come in and crack heads once the offense stalls.

That’s fair. Steph has came off the bench in the past, he can too.
