At the end of January, the Lakers were 24-25 and sitting as the 9 seed. Since then, they have gone 20-8 (58 win pace) which is tied for 3rd best in the league during that span… and they are still at the 9 seed. They are also a 0.5 game back from the best record in the West during this stretch.
For reference, this 28 game sample size is about 1/3rd of the season.

Imagine Rui starting from the beginning. You know basically continuing the same lineup from last season that was in the WCF with a hobbled Lebron and you know the same person who trained all summer with Lebron. Nah let’s go with Prince!
So happy. Really sad that it took so long for Rui to be inserted in the starting lineup
Ham may be the GOAT coach and you guys aren’t aware. If pay attention to trends, he coast until the trade deadline and then he starts coaching.
So do the Magic
This lineup played in the conference finals last season and finished second in the West. This result is no surprise.
The West is the best.
Yeah lakers fucked around with rotations hard.
That’s on Ham.
We’re #3! We’re #3!
Said no Laker fan ever. 😉
An NBA level head coach and we’re easily a top 3 team in the west IMHO. We can only pray that Ham is fired at the end of the year.
Wow, that’s impressive! The Lakers must be on fire lately. It’s great to see them climbing up the ranks.
The Celtics are absurd(they will choke in the playoffs)
It’s just insane to be 20-8 in the last 28 games and not climb a single position lol

Where does their SoS rank for this time period?
Too little to
Late
It’s just frustrating knowing that we would easily be between the 4-6 seed if Ham didn’t sabotage the team after the IST. We should have won at least 55 games this season
Just goes to show you: timing ISN’T everything.
This reminds me a lot of last years run they made after the A-star break, and they landed about the same spot.
This means there is no reason we can’t be back in the WCF to get revenge against the Nuggets.
