Back when I thought we could turn Wes Johnson into the star he was drafted to be💀can’t forget Xavier Henry either

The “Ass” lineup.

I actually witnessed this live, it was down 20 from start to finish. I’ve never seen staple center that empty ( I sat in 100 level, ticket was like 60 🤣🤣)
Ok_Board9845
Good times. Also a bit later I remember some people deluding themselves into thinking Lou Will and a washed up Roy Hibbert would help us get back into the playoffs
saint_trane
This team in the current league might have 0 wins.

Used to be an embarassingly die-hard fan (now as I’m older I don’t live and die by every win/loss). I have no idea how I survived watching during those years. Glad my memory is trash so I don’t even remember much of it.

Sacre best season ever with 646445 claps per game

Sacre was the best vibes. Mark Madsen 2.0

Whether it’s sports teams, bands, or even real life itself, about 15 years later or less, people will, for whatever reason, look back on nearly any era with fondness.

Well, Jordan Clarkson is actually good. He ran the pick and roll with Tarik Black like Jameer and Dwight. Ryan Kelly had that game winning Statue of Liberty dunk that I thought for sure would keep him in the league for at least like two more years, but I was wrong. Jordan Hill was the original Naz Reid. A lot of decent role players on these teams that had to deal with the pressure of injured stars.
But Ellington was one of the first victims of the Lakers 3pt shooter tax. Wes Johnson was not an nba player, and damn, I’ve never seen anyone dominate warm-ups like Robert Sacre.

Back when the drama on Laker land was a completely manufactured one between Iggy Azalea and Swaggy-P.

Back then I was 18 and worked at chevron from 3am-12pm while living with my grandma in a mobile home(a retirement park 65*+ lol). Every day I got home from work got super stoned and watched ALL 81 games of this squad. The only year I ever did all 81 lol.
Now I have 3 kids, make 6 figures, married and barely have time to catch 60 games a season. Doesn’t feel like that long ago I was telling yall JChill could be a borderline all star

Even if we lost by 30 at least we had Jordan Clarkson

No reason a laker team should ever have this lack of talent
bashsports
Didn’t this team beat the 73-9 warriors?
AnimalMan-420
If that top lineup has a lot of solid players. Too bad we didn’t have stars. They would have been good complementary pieces
ThatBigNoodle
I’m from socal so I obviously grew up a lakers fan, but the first time I started to really follow the team, was this season. Jordan clarkson, getting excited about the upcoming draft with Russell and watching summer league. So this was more or less my introduction to becoming a die hard

Memories 😭😭 bad ones 🤣🤣😭😭😭

Funny thing is, I bet there were STILL homers on here who saw these lineups and STILL thought “if everything breaks right, we can make a deep run!”
And no, I am not kidding.
