USC freshman Bronny James is declaring for the 2024 NBA Draft. James, 19, also is entering NCAA transfer portal to maintain flexibility. The combo guard will work out for and visit NBA teams and make a draft decision based on evaluation.

See you on the lakers Bronny. Its gonna be Ken Griffey Sr and Jr vibes….Must See TV.

Just wait till Bronny throws an oop to Lebron on a fast break in a regular season game….the Crypto will go crazy!!!

  2. Yup make sense to see how teams will value him. if there’s little or none at all go back to college which imo think he gonna stay in college.

  3. willyumoo

Teams are gonna take him just to draft 39yo Lebron James Sr lol

  4. nottherealstanlee

The Lakers will trade up to get him early 2nd. Calling it now lol even though he’s likely more of a 2 way guy. In a draft this bad, I wouldn’t even hate it.

If he was not lebrons son i truly believe he would have a hard time making a g-league team.

  6. colombo1326

I don’t know how to feel about this. If he makes it into the nba he will be taking the spot from some who actually deserves to be in the league, but at the same time it would be really cool seeing him and Bron be on the court together

  7. Must’ve not saw much interest in the transfer portal I guess. Or was that a rumor? Either way hoping the best for him.

  8. NaderNation84

Be surprised if teams draft him after his health problems probably just using this to see where he’s at and then transfer somewhere else at least to me

Another hint that Bron Sr will be retiring soon

  10. I honestly expected him to just go back to college for another year. He’s not ready in my opinion

My thoughts: get Bronny in the second round, have him develop under his dad, keep LeGOAT for another two years before he retires as a Laker. In this time frame, Bronny gets better so by the time Lebron is retired, Bronny is up to speed in terms of skill sets, has AD also help him out an by year 3 (2027?) we have AD and James again.

If no teams pick him he’ll go back to college

  13. ImprovementSilly2895

He’s not an NBA player. But he will get drafted.

  14. stanquevisch

He really should stay in college or a development league for at least one more year. At the very least.

  15. Nervous-Medium7550

All part of the script guys lebron wins his 5th ring this year and next season plays with his son and rides off to the sunset 🙏😂

  16. This is just a smart move. Show off your growth and recovery after the heart attack to NBA scouts while maintaining flexibility collegiately in case the comps come back poor.

  17. Ok_Concentrate_75

It’s my hope he is just testing the waters imo he could really be a lottery pick next year. Wild thing is Musslemen is a good coach with NBA level development

  18. niknokseyer

Not following college basketball a lot. Why is he entering Transfer Portal?

Is USC bad? I thought he’s a bench player there, will he get more minutes somewhere else?

  19. Hungry-Space-1829

Everybody saying 2nd round…. Remember, if it’s not 1st he can just refuse to be drafted like Reaves.

People have played limited in college then gone to the NBA but typically they’re freak athletes. I think he returns to school

  20. x20skillzz21

if he gets drafted and lebron goes to where bronny goes then i think it shortens lebrons career

  21. needmoresleeep

As I understand it, the Lakers may not have a 1st round pick this year and will have the Clippers’ 2nd round pick, which is looking like the 5th to last pick. Sounds about the right place to select a prospect like Bronny. Those end-of-2nd-round picks almost never pan out anyways. He’d be like a Maxwell Lewis pick, draft and stash to see if he develops.

  22. Question, if another team takes him but he really just wants to stay in LA with his dad..can he just say “no.” Do you have to accept the team you’re drafted on?

Also could a team just make a deal with a player that has no contract? Why doesn’t LA just offer him a 2 way or rookie contract instead of letting the draft play out?

Either way this is stupid and screams nepotism.

  23. Public-Product-1503

He really should go back to college . Unless he doesn’t think he can improve . This low-key feels like giving up maybe the heart thing messed him up n he doesn’t care too as much .

  24. ramonzer0

He has the ability to go back on this prior to the draft doesn’t he

  25. Western-Mission9307

I’ve got a better question: if he is drafted this year, how long is his career? I’m going the average 3-4yrs then out of the league.

  26. JahMusicMan

Hopefully a team with some good all-stars or near all stars drafts Bronny. Then we can ship Lebron’s ass outta here and rebuild with those all-stars and our picks.

  27. Nervous-Guava-7390

This dude is gonna turn into a Thanasis type meme player lmao

  28. Have a feeling we’re using our second round pick on him

  29. Dagenius1

I believe he needs a full healthy off season of work and improvement..then come back to a college team and put up good numbers which I think he can do.

I cannot see him getting drafted or staying in the draft. My guess is after a few meeting he will publicly declare that he will return to college and “keep grinding” or something to that effect.

  30. Draft him to make Lebron happy. Zero problem with it.
