Are the Denver Nuggets actually ready for the playoffs?

Ryan Blackburn and Swipa go over the Denver Nuggets dominant blowout win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Easter Sunday, focusing on Nikola Jokic making an MVP statement. The Nuggets shot the ball well from three-point range, and the offense was humming. Ryan and Swipa discuss Michael Porter Jr. and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope shooting well, Reggie Jackson bouncing back, and where the Nuggets bench can continue to improve heading into the playoffs.

  1. Reggie needs be more consistent. Games like yesterday are nice but few and far in between games like the ones he had vs the wolves are more common and they canā€™t be they just canā€™t.

  2. They look pretty ready to me, certainly far more ready than they were last year. The Suns and Wolves games were concerning because of the sheer lack of effort and seriousness but I can't imagine those things will be problems in the playoffs. Murray's injuries are my biggest concern–he's just so injury prone and the knee swelling worries me. Nuggets have a chance to take matters into their own hands and win out and get the #1 seed. Only two real challenges left with the Clippers and Wolves but the Nugs will be favored in both of those games. 59 wins is still in reach.

  3. I would say they are *on track* for the postseason vs ready for it if it started today. Iā€™m encouraged with how things are coming together for the younguns and hopeful that our insanely durable starters can manage their (mainly overuse) injuries so that they can peak at the right time.

  4. Iā€™m so proud of this squad! They finally brought us a title and to be following that up with another monster season and in contention for the 1st seed in AMAZING!!!

This is a whole new level that Denver has never experienced and, while not being perfect robots, they have stayed at the top and maintained the beautiful Nuggets brotherhood and unselfish play that got them to the top.

Look at the Nuggets man ā€¦ so inspirational šŸ„¹āš’ļøšŸ”„

  5. I love yallā€™s beyond basketball segments (though I skipped past most of the movie spoiler in this one) and Swipaā€™s book club idea from I think last week! Maybe Dune would be a great jump off book. I would also recommend Chaos by Tom Oā€™Neill and Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. Bangers!!!šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

I have so much in common with Swipa but it would be cool to learn more about Ryan too! Iā€™m ready for him to step out of the ā€œlittle brotherā€ role heā€™s kinda in now. I would love a ā€¦ ā€˜Cam and Charburn?ā€™šŸ¤£ spinoff show šŸ˜Š
