While the Memphis Grizzlies may be enduring a difficult season this year, there was a time where they were one of if not the most feared team in the NBA. They boasted one of the toughest and most skilled groundouts in the NBA with Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph. While their backcourt of Mike Conley and Tony Allen would terrorize the guards and wings of other teams. This Grizzlies teams was one of the most iconic of the 2010s and lived by a simple mantra, Grit and Grind…

  1. In another world, if the pacers trade Ja happens and they he grizzlies picked right, Kawhi would have been a great fit on the grit n grime grizzlies

  2. Y'all should review the spurs dynasty since they are most likely going into a new era with wemby and remind people of what got them to this current situation they're in right now

  3. My favorite era of hoops was while I was rooting for the Thibs bulls. This squad was kind of a spiritual sibling to that one. Tough d, good point guard and couldn’t shoot.

  4. Not even a grizzlies fan but this team was one of my all time favorites. I remember how all the attention used to be on teams with high profile stars like the thunder clippers and spurs, but this Memphis team used to beat their asses consistently, and did it with such pride, loved seeing that, and that’s what the nba is missing today. Great video as always and about time there was a video like this on the grit and grind grizzlies

  5. It still pains me that they traded away their shooter Wayne Ellington and backup big Marreese Speights for Jon "we got you for salary dump so we don't have to go over the luxury tax" Leuer in 2013. They already lack shooters and Speights was a good backup big for them. Chris Wallace was a terrible GM. (Josh Selby and a future first was included but it's nothing noteworthy)

  6. Even though I’ve grown up on the East coast I watched a lot of West coast ball growing up because I usually put games on before bed and fell asleep to games, and the West games were usually on at like 8-12 here. SAS, OKC, LAC, and GSW were definitely the A side of the matchup that I was tuning in for but I always enjoyed them going against the Grizzlies.

  7. The fact that these Grizzlies were as competitive as they were for a pretty long time despite the ridiculous amount of boneheaded draft picks, trades, and signings by their front office is kind of impressive. If they even got half of those mistakes right, it's not far fetched to suggest that they would've at least made it to the Finals once.

  8. I’m from Memphis and used to go to these games I’m so glad this team will always be remembered by true nba fans

  9. Crazy that the blazers picked who’s considered the biggest bust of all time while the grizzlies grabbed their best player of all time and they were teammates which makes it that much freakier

  10. I started watching NBA back in the 2013-14 season (like at the start of it) and by the end of it, Grit and Grind Grizzles caught my attention. Every game they played or in every playoffs series they would play, it was for me exciting to watch how one of THE BEST defensive teams played the game. This era of Grizzles made me a fan of them and the whole game overall. Even today I throw some remarks to my friends on how THIS team was just super good overall. (like "back in my day this team was…")

(Now time to watch the video)

  11. This video really made me happy, first because that grit and grind era finally got the respect they deserved. I’m from Tennessee and I was in the military around that time so I was repping the grizzlies hard!! That squad did some amazing things together and for them to stay together that long was an amazing thing to see. I really wanted us to win one but we wasn’t beating that San Antonio team 😅
