One of the biggest reasons why Jokic is in front right now is that the majority of the media believe that he was robbed last year and they’re trying to make up for it. But another big factor is that he was so good in the playoffs that he ended up winning a championship. If Luka goes supernova in the playoffs, topples Jokic and ends up winning the chip this year, the bias against him will (probably) go away in an instant. Eyes on the prize. A chip will open way more doors for him than an MVP ever will.
