Think it’s pretty clear that the Mavs wanted to add a bigger star and didn’t want to pay Brunson any type of money that would prevent them from doing that. There’s nothing wrong with that. Nobody knew Brunson was this good. Not Leon Rose, Thibs, or any single fan. Knicks are extremely blessed that he turned out to be so good.
