[Slater] Here’s Jonathan Kuminga’s postgame presser. Discussed his absence because of the knee, 21 and 10 return and his move to the bench. “I wasn’t concerned about coming off the bench.” (4:02)

Part of why JK was so peeved this season was that he felt like he wasn’t able to prove how good he was. Well, he has, and coming off the bench won’t change that. And he knows that if he continues to light it up he will be back in the starting lineup.

Kuminga earlier this season didn’t bring up starting, he wanted more minutes.

Whether he starts or not he’ll more or less get the same minutes.

He kinda is an offense of his own and is unique on the team. Wiggs to a degree but nowhere close to as aggressive. Wiggs is more 3&D and JK is the slashing inside guy. We need him regardless of whether he’s playoff ready or not. He’ll get his 25-32 mins a game.

he just wanted to “start” to prove that he can hoop. he did beyond that. starter or not, he’ll be definitely playing almost 30 minutes a game splitting w the starters for more size and abusing bench units. we actually might have an all star blossoming as soon as next year.
