Lebron James goes off and Lakers bury Nets

The Nets hosted the Lakers on Easter Sunday, riding a three-game winning streak coming into the game. But that came to and end with LA jumping out to a huge early lead and Lebron James going off from beyond the arc. Lebron finished with 40 points and hit nine three-pointers in the game.

Cam Thomas scored 30 and tried to pull the Nets into the game late, but it wasn’t enough. Mikal Bridges struggled again, and the Lakers were simply too much.

    Ollie pulled Cam T in the 8 min of the 4th quarter. Can't make this s..t up how the game got away on us. Thanks, and the ball hoggers CJ Schroder and Bridges. LeBron was like magic. Awesome to witness 👏

    It might be a good thing we don't have any time to dwell on a loss to a non-conference foe (Lakers) even though we need to win every game for the remainder of the season to get a shot at being in the Play-in tournament. Winning against a conference rival (Pacers) that's playing above .500 ball on a back -to-back game on their tuff will be a tall order. I rather err on the side of thinking we'll lose in that way if we win, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

    Many in the Nets fan base made the mistake of declaring Mikal an all star too early. A few months have certainly made a difference between then and now with his inconsistent play. Hopefully the high expectations of the CT faithful is kept in check. If the lock-down relentless defense, by the Lakers last night, is a preview of the kind of attention CT will get in the future, a wait and see attitude should be in play to see how he manage it before giving him an "all star" grade.

    Johnson is going to be the next joe harris. Probably should fire marks the second the season is over. Pathetic maneuvering he has done by not trading bridges. Get rid of Claxton the twig as soon as we can, 6 rebounds tonight and zero offensive impact. A strerch big would help alleviate the offensive situation a bit. Cam Thomas has shown growth and we have no other options so F it build around him. Watford is a beast and needs to start at the 4 at this point

All that talk of playoff seating, not giving Ky and KD their flowers, and looking at y'all now…😂😂🤣🤣💀💀. Well deserved guys, well deserved 👏🏿
