THJ’s Twitter liked posts

As a player must be hard reading all the negative comments on social media all the time. Maybe him doing that has caused him to go on this long slump.

Sometimes we as fans don’t realise the players are human beings and are emotional too. Low-key feel bad for the guy.

i mean i still need to trade him. We have a younger version of him waiting in hardy who does a bit more.

  2. amazin_raisin99

If THJ has a bad relationship with Mavs fans after he leaves I wouldn’t blame him lol

But we do need to trade him

  3. DangerZoneh

I love Tim, man. He’s done so much for this team. I really hope he doesn’t let the negative fans get to him.

  4. OrganicHunt952

I do agree we need to trade him, I’ve made a lot of THJ bad shooting posts myself. Just feel sorry for all the hate these players have to consume. It’s easy to say they should just ignore it, but it’s probably really hard too when social media is used very regularly by everyone. Hopefully theirs programs in the league that help players with this kind of stuff.

I’ve always liked tim and appreciate what he did with that 2nd clippers series and there were times where we legit needed him since our offense was so thin before the kyrie trade. That being said can’t wait to move on from him

The previous versions of the team really succeeded and failed with him (and others) shooting streaks and slumps. Post-trades, that’s not as much of an issue, but he sticks out like a sore thumb with some of his shot selection and decision-making and has objectively fallen off a cliff percentage-wise.

Seems like he is (wisely) avoiding the discourse around that with these tweets being from November, but criticism on social media is apart of the job, fair or unfair. And I think criticizing THJ for going from 6MOTY contender to maybe not deserving a playoff rotation spot is fair.

I mean I def understand it from his perspective. I’m sure he wants to hit every shot & he wants the Mavs to succeed just as much as we do. However that 16 mil salary is better suited to be used on a legit 3 & D forward next season & let Hardy step into the “6th man” off the bench scoring role.

  8. Im sure the guys on the team encourage him just as much as people online shit on him

  9. Tbf Tim has been pretty professional here despite his dad’s antics so I do feel bad for him. It’s best for everyone to go separate ways

  10. question2552

    Agreed with Tim.

Chris Brown is over the top and needs to be held accountable more often. His past is too much to look over IMO.

  11. Downtown_Soft_202

I appreciate that he’s stopped throwing up so many low percentage bricks and has become a more willing passer

  12. Realistic-Carob8288

It’s not 1 bad game… it’s 30 bad games out of the last 40. Same pattern for the last 3 seasons. The problem stands out even more when you have literally one job, and 2 stats that matter. If Luka didn’t score and had more turnovers than assists in 80% of games, he’d be in the trade machine too.

  13. BloodLongjumping5227

Hardaway annoys me because it doesn’t matter if he is open or not, he is either making 30 footers or bricking wide open shots and lately it’s all bricks. I still feel like he will win you a game 5 or something this year

  14. moctezuma-

Idgaf I think Tim is a great piece to the team

Of course we know they’re human beings, but human beings in any profession are rightly criticized when they’re badly performing at their job, and hurting other’s ability to do their job. These guys get to be multi-millionaires set up for life whether they fail or not. You and I get fired.

On top of that anyone who does any digging can tell THJ has a massive ego and doesn’t want to admit he’s playing bad, or that coaching has had to tell him to stop. He’s pissing off his teammates nearly every game now as well. I’m not of this mindset that when someone is playing terribly we just hype them up and feel bad for them. They make too much goddamn money for that.

  16. Drizzt3919

I personally never hated on THJ. He’s always professional. Team first guy. Leader in the locker room. He does frustrate me out on the court and I’ve questioned why he plays so much when we have Hardy and need to develop him. With that said…. He goes on a hot streak and we win that game every single time if he’s our third option.

  17. Axisofcoolio

Honestly, the hate is mostly warranted but not because he is shooting like ass. It’s because he is allergic to making the right basketball play. Simple stuff for good pros like, don’t try a fastbreak finish vs. 3 defenders, don’t take early shot clock contested 3’s, don’t look off Kyrie fucking Irving and iso, don’t take off defensive possessions when you shoot like shit, don’t try dribble moves when that’s not your game.

You can shoot like shit and still be respected and adored by fans. Just ask PJ

  18. whitefang0824

Dude is long overdue on Mavs. It would really be the best for both parties to move on next season.

  19. FunkMastaUno

Made me laught when I heard Perkins say THJ had recently came back from an injury and has come back and played well. Literally none of that is true but he’s one of their top commentators. If it weren’t for YouTube I wouldn’t know how far that network has fallen.

  20. I’ve definitely noticed him being a willing passer now. No way he makes that pass to PJ for game winner against warriors, before his cold streak.

  21. Bigballer777

THJ is alright man, think the coaching had given him an extreme green light during the cold stretch. Coming off the bench and becoming a more willing passer has been good for him and the team. I still believe he’ll get his shot back soon and will be on a heater.

  22. KhanQu3st

Tim’s such a nice guy supporting Gafford like that 👏

  23. EvanEschmeyer

He’s a liability on both ends these days and his shot has been failing him for months now.

Maybe if he looked for his teammates more often than instead opting into taking ill-advised shots shooting sub-30%, he’d stay off the Trade Machine.

  24. peanutbutterbeef

He’s been playing better. Still cold af shooting wise but he’s an improved passer and his shot selection has also gotten noticeably better. Opposing teams still have to respect him on the perimeter and if he can get his shot back I’m really liking our odds this year.

  25. _The_Honored_One_

Who has time to go looking through what people like on Twitter. Stalker behavior

  26. Ad0lfKittler

Let me correct you on that. He is a human being with a $40 million contract. He is paid to perform well, to shoot. It’s his job. I don’t understand why he’s become a brick maker. If you look back on his past few games, he was great when we still had Williams. But when the trades came in, he sucked ass.

  27. Incorrect1012

This sub is just a hate mine for the guy, and it’s honestly sad as fuck

  28. TheHonorableDrDingle

People act like he has no value and want to trade him. It’s hard to trade a player with no value. In reality he’s overpaid but can go off and perform in the playoffs. Embrace the Timmy.

  29. mylifestylepr

THJ I truly feel bad for you. Can’t imagine the pressure you might be feeling. But if you want to get out of this slump. You have to find a way to let go of doubt. Once you overcome that you will get your groove back.
