[StatMamba] Steph Curry is the only player to lead the NBA in PPG without being top 20 in FTA per game. He did it twice.

   This season he is averaging 26.8 PPG, and has taken 317 FT’s in 71 games for an average of 4.46 FTA’s per game. He has only missed 24 of those btw, that’s a 92.5% FT percentage.

   Imagine if Steph got an even league average whistle, much less actual MVP/Superstar treatment.

   I can see the argument that a lot of Steph’s offense comes from his supernatural shooting ability and he also doesn’t play to contact but is actually trying to finish drives. He also is not the best floper/actor to try to get calls because he seems more focused on landing properly and not hurting himself. All that being said though, as we all saw in the Dallas game where he got whacked by two players during a drive and didn’t get a call, Steph is reffed WAY differently compared to other superstars.
