In midst of four-game losing streak, the Milwaukee Bucks are planning to move Patrick Beverley into the starting lineup in place of Malik Beasley vs. Celtics tonight, sources say. Beasley had started all 75 games played this season and ranks ninth in NBA in 3-pointers made.

I’ll take any change to be made. A better guard defender would help in the starting lineup.

Literally the only thing working this season has been the starting lineup. Ridiculous!

Why not start AJ Green? Beasley is in a slump, and AJ Green is the better defender already.

So they had a veterans meeting that included 9 players, and they decided the problem was the one guy they didn’t let in the room 🤣

I mean I appreciate the shakeup but AJ Green is right there!

I think Beasley may end up being the major beneficiary from this move tbh. On the surface, losing your starting role doesn’t look good, but it’s pretty obvious at times that he is the forgotten starter in the lineup. Too often he’s ended the first half with no attempts or very few, which shouldn’t be for a starting shooting guard.

Perhaps coming off the bench and being a primary option when he does get on the floor will be good for him. Also, those Giannis + bench lineups won’t be as bad because it’ll essentially be Giannis and Beasley (who has been our starter) + bench.

Bev is going to have to hit corner threes. He’s going to be left wide open

This could be one of those things where if they keep this going for a few games and nothing changes, you might make make things worse by having Beasley being unplayable coming off the bench

Feel like this has been called for a lot this season, at least moving Beasley to the bench and letting him be that shot chucker in the second unit.

Pat Bev makes sense as a replacement as much as I’d liked to have seen Green move up. Just gives that starting unit a little toughness on defense to set the tone and lets those bench units that Doc runs have a guy who *could* be starting in there. Positive change in my eyes

I have to give it to Doc. He’s trying to change things, at least. He already doesn’t end games with Brook on the lineup because is unplayable against certain matchups. Now this. I like it. These new variants are going to help us find the best solutions to win in a 7 game series. Bucks in six

Thank god, Vets spoken and Doc made a change
