  1. No interest even if it was $25. These balls are damn near silent. The bounce sound is just part of playing basketball. Plus, Wilson balls are trash. The NBA should go back to the vastly superior Spalding.

  2. Nobody gonna buy this expensive ass basketball, for what, when you can just buy the regular basketball for 30 dollars πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  3. Is no one talking about the fact that the ball is waaay lighter than a regular one, thus making it forever unusable for official basketball?

  4. I wouldn't buy it unless it becomes the standard. Why would I mess up my muscle memory?

  5. It was printed with an SLS (Selective laser sintering) 3D printer. It rolls a layer TPU plastic powder onto a heated build plate and then a laser sinters the plastic powder into hardened plastic, the process then repeats layer by layer until you have your part. The reason why it can bounce without air is because TPU is very ductile. When designed at the right thickness you can make it rigid enough to perfectly match the characteristics of a basketball. The cool thing about SLS is that the unsintered powder around the part acts as a support material so you can achieve all kinds of cool geometries, plus all the unsintered powder around the part can be reused for future prints. The only issue with this design is that there will be loads of β€˜dead’ space inside the ball which could’ve otherwise been used for more parts.Technically the most efficient way of printing would be to print the ball in two halves and fit them within each other so you can print loads at a time. 3D printings awesome! 6. About halfway through the clip, when he holds the ball close to the camera, you can see that the ball is already cracking near the Wilson logo.

  7. Let's just wait until the Chinese get their hands on one of these. It would be so much cheaper πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  8. 2500 is cheap for an innovative basketball they shouldve did a few more to compensate for the time spent but still a nice idea wish i could buy one right now lmao

  9. Why don't they sell them to schools cheaply in big bulk bullshit πŸ˜‚then people would buy you make more money that way
