The reason we still have just the 5th best record in the league since then despite that is because we’ve played 3-4 more games than the vast majority of the league over this span, including all 4 of the teams with higher winning percentages.

low point of the warriors season was when they were 5 games under .500 on january 27th after that double OT loss vs the lakers at home on saturday night on national prime television
that was the game where curry scored 46 points and hit what looked like the game winning 3 but lebron won the game driving to the hoop and got fouled and hit two free throws
warriors were 19-24 but ever since they have a 25-11 record and during this time have the
5th best winning %

if warriors win the last 3 games they’ll finish up with a 28-11 record, a win % of .718, which would translate to a 59 win season over an 82 game schedule
It’s crazy how tight it is. The dubs record in close games was so bad this season, but you can almost attribute some of that to luck. So many bad calls in every nba game. If they had just 2 of those close game losses become wins then they’d be right there for the 6th seed potentially.
IIRC the first half of their season frontloaded a tough schedule and second half is a lot easier, so you would expect this

Too late. Three things killed us:
1. Dray suspension.
2. Klay & Wiggs playing like booty cheeks to start the season
3. Kerr forcing Looney/Saric over TJD.
All of them are self inflicted wounds. Even if we didn’t do 2 of these 3, we would be a top 4 seed. We have a great squad but we collectively sabotaged our own season.
Problem is we are 5-20 against the top 7 teams in the west. That does not bold well when we start the play ins.
