I was disappointed but I’m pretty happy that we split the regular season with the defending champs.
Hoping we get to run it back with them in the playoffs. I like our odds with KAT back in the picture.

some fans are furious that we ran out of gas in the 4th quarter of the 2nd back to back game against the 2nd best home team in the league and previous nba champions without one of our best players.
its incredible how angry some of these fans are.

Bro we played them a week ago and ran them off the court lol.
I get it it was a big game but hopefully we learn that we can’t let up against good teams.

KAT statistically is one of the best defenders in the league against Jokic. He holds Jokic consistently to under his average FG percentage when guarding him. We were really missing his size, rebounding, and consistent source of offense last night when ANT isn’t on the floor. I think KAT is crucial to us beating Denver if we do match up again.

Also, both of our loses to them were on the second night of a back to back

It has more to do with the theme we’ve seen from this team in really big games. In the span of the last 12 days, the Wolves have had pretty poor performances against the Bulls, Suns, and Nuggets in games that have had huge implications on the 1 seed. Last night, the team missed 11 free throws. Naz goes 6-19 from the field. It was a very winnable game and we kind of gave it away IMO.
To finish with a top 3 seed is a huge success, but the West is so stacked that you can’t really feel as confident going into the playoffs compared to years in the past when the conference wasn’t as strong as it is now. The 1 seed would have without a doubt given us the best chance to go the distance.
I’m excited to see how this does performs in the playoffs but at the same time I’m very worried because this group has always had a tendency to beat themselves.

Fans don’t let fans be emotionally fanatic. More at 5.

Losing the fight for the 1 seed is a big deal. It’s OK people were disappointed with the loss

I’m more worried about the Suns and Pels games from this season

Maybe don’t lose to Chicago at home and have a little wiggle room…
This team, along with other teams, have some bad losses this year. Every game is important whether it’s Dec 2 or. April 10.
Still having a damn good season lol

Before the season started, we’d take a 2nd seed and 55 wins every day of the week. This team knows how to win on the road

The back to back game killed us. We were every part of that game till almost half the way through the 4th quarter. They got tired. No sweat just look forward to the playoffs. That’s where we will find out what this team is made of.

Some people don’t give KAT enough credit to be honest or at least act as if the drop off in impact isn’t big when he’s out. He’s been the guy to be most consistent in back to backs this season and him being the 4 on defense is what makes the Timberwolves a good matchup against Denver (not saying they’d win but put up a fight for sure).

Personally, I want a good matchup in round 1 as much as I want the first seed. The lakers would scare me.
