Something started to click for him when Keefe arrived. I think the main key was Keefe gave him consistent 34MPG minutes on Febuary.
Until January, he averaged around 27.2mpg.
On Febuary (9 games) he averaged 34MPG, 20/9/3 on 66.3% TS, 22% usage.
Last 11 games he’s getting 21% usage, 13.4FGAs, averaging 19.3ppg/9.2rebs/4.5asts on 60.8% TS
Coming next season, if he can maintain ~59% TS on say 16FGAs next season, 26% usage, that would be very impressive leap and probably sets him on +22ppg territory.
How would he able to get there:
* Working hard during summer on mastering driving left. * Learning at least 2 new skills, like spin move, Euro step, how to manipulate defenders with body hesitations. * Learning to punish defenders with a pull up three when they going under a screen.
-Learning to drive with a bit more variety of finishing, that would help him draw more FTAs as well.
I wonder if he’s going to work again with Drew Hanlen this summer. He needs that type of skill trainer to be able to make another big leap next year.
