He’s so slow I don’t know how he’s going to play more that 10 minutes per game in the nba unless you build around him but why would you build around him?

  2. His closest NBA comp is Robin Lopez (current, not in his prime) except slightly bigger, slower, worse shot blocker, and less efficient hook shot.

His game just isn’t built for the NBA even tho he’s 7’4”. I’m not sure if I’d take a flier on him with a second rounder

  4. Generationally dominant player that could win some MVPs. The entire organization needs to completely invest in him in with the right players in a way that most lottery teams aren’t competent enough to do.

The Wizards are bad enough that they should consider him. Worst case he’s a role player that has great offense and terrible iso defense while still getting a ton of rebounds and defending the strongest 5s in the league.

Just to get a quick idea, Tankathon has him at 23rd in their mock and 33rd on their board.

Basically a less agile Rudy Gobert.

But we’re talking about a bona-fide poverty franchise that drafted Johnny Buckets in the first round so who knows.

If nothing else he’ll be a decent rim protector in a set defense for a team that severely lacks size. Dude will get eaten alive in the transition game. Career backup center at best.

Definitely not worth a 1st round pick. The man has no moves, he is like the modern day version of DeAndre Jordan. I would not rely on Edey to be anything other than a few minutes of defense and rebounding.

Decent scorer, but that is mostly because he is 7’4. He’s so slow and a foul merchant.

Not trying to sound like a hater but I watched him all year and I was at the final four this year… He sucks. Only move is a drop step at 7’4, can’t shoot, and on defense they literally had to hide him. Against UConn he stood still in front of the rim on defense never had to guard anyone and he STILL couldn’t block a shot, it sounds dumb to say but he literally is just a big mfer not a good player

His post moves are too slow for the NBA, in my opinion.

Always fun to be wrong when you’re not high on a prospect, because that means the league is one guy better than you thought.

I think there are couple of players from South Carolina I would pick ahead of him.

  12. The wizards dont have centers , both of what they have atm are sub par and mid at best, sarr seems to be a good defensive center at least who shows good upside in offence. They need to do everything they can to get him .

As a Purdue alum, I love the kid.

As a Wizards fan, I want him anywhere else but this team.

He’s would make a good back up center. But don’t see him ever starting for a good team

He’s taller and bigger than everyone in college making him successful because in college BBALL athleticism is way less valuable. He’s also 22 already, and usually college seniors in this day and age don’t really improve as their NBA careers go on
