In order for Wemby to have MVP stats they have to get rid of Popovich. he is restricting his minutes and conservative and the thing is that this is the moment that you want him to play more minutes because he’s young they can do that with him once he gets older. if I’m the spurs, I will give pops a position like a general manager and have a coach that can play him more.

What's crazy is that I think we're actually underestimating Wemby's potential for future block numbers because since the all star break he has actually been averaging 4.6 blocks per game. Which means that just sustaining that for the whole season is very much in the "very likely" probability range of things for him, let alone that if there is still improvement from him we could even see him get over 5 blocks per game
Talent-wise he definitely can be the youngest mvp ever, but he aint winning sh*t with the spurs anytime soon

If Wemby got MVP before Luka it would be because of his two-way prowess. Wemby might not yet dominate on offense but he's already DPOY candidate. If he maintains his defense while increasing his offensive production, MVP conversation is not out of reach.
