Cleveland Cavaliers Head Coach J.B. Bickerstaff spoke with the media following a 120-110 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on April 14, 2024 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
All i heard was " I wanted all our guys to get minutes so we threw the game, lost the division after a long year in the last 6 minutes, and now we are matched up against a harder opponent in the first round of the playoffs". Is this real life?
Would had the 3rd seed if we didn't THROW this game. Unacceptable. JB and Altman should be fired. Loser organization. Why would Mitchell want to sign long term in Cleveland?
I wanted to hear what the guy said at the end! It sounded like he was setting him up to admit that a big part of how he failed was his unwillingness and/or inability to make changes in the middle of the game.
The NBA is just unbelievably trash. You have stupid coaches and players trying to manipulate the playoff situation and thus making it harder for them. Going from possibly being 3rd seed, having home court in 1st 2 rounds while avoiding Boston till ECF. Rigging the game especially at the end, (up 13 in the 4th Q and then give up 20+ run.) If this isnt game rigging then IDK what is. Honestly, what's the point of watching these games if the NBA continues to allow teams to manipulate who plays. Bullshit health excuses "knee rest?" -you'll literally have 7-8 days off to rest before the 1st playoff game. No effing heart in the NBA.

I'm very confused by people who are so concerned about a division title. Plus Indiana plays us really hard.
