This team, when not missing its MVP superstar, is really good. Embiid and Maxey are as dominating a duo on the court together as anything in the NBA and they have solid role players around them. It’s really annoying to have missed out on the 6th seed and have to be in this scenario, but if the Sixers play up to their ability, there’s no team in the East, aside from the Celtics, that I really think can beat them.
I’ve been skeptical about the Sixers for a while, but this team really is different. Hopefully this time the results are, too.
