Thank you captain obvious.
On a serious note, are we hoping we trade for a vet or draft one?
Just let it be a true big. Need someone 6’11 or bigger ideally. Got the small ball role with BC but need a big typical drop center who can grab rebounds. So important to have positional versatility at the center
Can jemison function agaisnt bench bigs? Or are we def not taking him on?
Claxton feels like the obvious favourite
BC is fine with coming off the bench https://twitter.com/Greg_Gaston/status/1779909580228608041?t=Kll8dRUBYS_P2u45Uf1h9w&s=19
Not like it’s his decision but nice to see we have buy-in.
King Kleiman take me to the promised land
Feel like Clingan makes too much sense if we can get him. If not, that pick is getting traded.
Clingan is the easiest option, just need Washington to jump to top 3 to pass on him (or just us), no one else in this lottery wants a center who’s slow, can’t stretch, can’t self-create, but that happens to be exactly Stevo.
Trading for someone probably costs Luke or BC, Clayton (or Allen? Or Capela 🤮) will make around 20-25m, to pull that off gonna be pretty hard to do without those 2. Ideally we can give Jitty + Z + Rose + LaRavia + Yuta which adds up to about 21m, but I don’t think any team would want all of them lol.
How much is Claxton expected to cost? Feels like we’ll have to restructure Luke plus move Zaire and konchar contracts, which won’t be easy
