Maybe him doing this will inspire iHart to do the same🙏

  2. YanksJetsKnicks

Don’t really know what that means lol. It sounds like a long way of saying basically nothing.

Him not being a supermax would be an absurd underpay. Would help us out a lot

  4. maybe i’ve been a knicks fan too long but all this good fortune still doesn’t feel real. a well-run org with top-level talent and a coach that gets them to hustle and play team ball? league’s not prepared for this train the next few years.

That would be awesome because ive been dreading the day when we have to let some of our role players go to keep our tax down. Having brunson on a discount would help a lot in keeping these guys around for the long haul

If they extend brunson and bring back hartenstein, precious and OG that’s the perfect off-season

Jalen Brunson signs for the minimum while Rick Brunson inks a 5Y 200M contact to become the highest paid assistant coach in NBA history

If Brunson extends for something around 4Y 160M that would be so fucking awesome.

This is complete bullshit, outside of Brady who has ever done this – but shit it would be nice

This team will be running it back for a few years. Once we ink OG and IHart, it’s a wrap. We’ll be adding players through the draft and minimum contracts. Yes I said Ihart as I feel he will be back. Most we can offer is like 16/17 mil a year, rival GM’s are saying 13/14 mil is his worth. I’ll do 17 easily. He was going to take less to return to the clippers and the podcast with Jalen and Hart, Hart was busting his balls about it. VIBES ARE IMMACULATE. Sit back and enjoy. It’s been a long time coming.

What are the other factors at play?

WHAT THE HELL ARE THE OTHER FACTORS????

    😂😂😂

I’ll believe him leaving a year and 100m on the table when it happens. I don’t think he’ll leave, but that would be crazy to do.

According to ESPN Front Office Insider Bobby Marks, Brunson’s extension maxes out this summer at four years, $156.5 million ($39.1M average annual salary).

His 2025 free-agency max is five years, $258 million ($51.6 average salary). (from nyp)

To me, this means he’s taking a team friendly deal so Knicks can have depth.

I believe everyone will be taking team friendly deals including OG, IHart, Randle, Precious, and whoever else signs with the Knicks in the future. This FO started this (players taking team friendly deals) years ago for a reason and they ain’t changing now. Especially when it’s working and Knicks are so close to winning a ring.

These players are worth the max, they definitely earned it for sho. But in order to achieve something great, something special, sacrifices have to made. On and off the court.

     Lets Go Knicks!!!

Would be pleasantly surprised if this happens, but I really doubt it. At this point if Brunson waits the extra year to get more money, even if he gets injured during the season (god forbid), you have to think he’s the caliber of player who still commands that max contract anyways. So there isn’t much risk involved for him.

They def sliding some money under the table

  16. patrickthunnus

He’s taking a pay cut to keep the band together. He’s no dummy, sees how well we play with OG and IH, maybe even Precious.

seriously how tf did we get so lucky???

If Jaylen Brunson wins here, NYC will immortalize him, and he will never have to worry about money again, because the NYC market will buy whatever he sells until he dies, and will continue to do so even after he’s dead. For example, Eli Manning. Dude’s face is everywhere, and he hasn’t played in the league in almost a decade.

I love this man. He is welcome to come into my home and have sex with my wife

We are going to have some potential problems to afford everyone. At the end of the day we will have to be okay not being able to keep this exact team in tact.

  21. fuckin lock him up, not like the money goes into effect right away anyways

there is almost zero doubt in my mind that jalen will eventually become a LEGENDARY coach as soon after he’s done with his career as a player, if he wants. at nova and or the nba. money will never be an issue for him. we are so fucking lucky to have him here.
