  1. AD is hurt and will remain hurt. Lebron doesn't affect winning anymore. As great as he is in his 21st season, he is not the deciding factor, AD is.

  2. Nuggets don’t want to play a healthy Lebron , last time they played a healthy Lebron they lost in 5 games 🤣

  3. I dont think they will risk their chances in entering the playoff against the winner of kings and dubs..lakers will not tank the game against pelicans..

  4. as a laker fan i rather play the nuggets now instead of wasting time and winning series just to lose to them later on

  5. totally disagree, risking one game for a much higher chance at the championship, doing it in a heartbeat, you never know what will happen to denver in vigorous playoffs games, if murray was hurt, lakers definitely could won the west, the 8th seed is definitely the way to go, tanking is the ONLY way to go.

  6. NBA Mailbag:

How would you navigate an unproven core as a GM (in terms of non championship core)? How long do you give them to prove themselves, until moving in a different direction?

Thinking about how long teams like the Celtics, Cavs, or OKC will keep their core guys together if they can’t get on a championship level is what gave me the idea for the question.

  7. Agree on the Spurs. No way they should go after drafting a pg. The timeline for those to develop is way too long and likely they wouldn't draft anyone significantly better than Tre Jones.

  8. Colin and the Keebler Elf…A.K.A Jason McIntyre pushed this nonsense. Of course, JMac is a Lakers fanboy, so he conveniently ignores the Lakers are 1-3 vs Warriors and have gotten their asses handed to them by the Kings all season. In addition, if you have a GOAT sized ego like Lebron…its not happening.

  9. I wouldn't be surprised if AD doesn't play and they lose and I think it would blow up in their face and lose again 😂 pelicans will come out and play they couldn't hit shots last game

  10. I agree. Losing on purpose is a losing mentality.

Imagine paying hundreds$ to watch a team that want to lose.

    scam

Greeny on ESPN was talking about that non stop.
    I hated it

  11. Lakers already exceeded the expectations by winning the In Season Tournament. So, they have to tank. Even if they lose in the second play-in game, their season will be very successful. They won a title already.

Also, it is much better than the possibility of getting swept by Denver, again.

  12. It’s funny that Lakers fans think they can eliminate Pelicans on demand. This is just another way of finding excuses. If they win, they played great. If they lose, they tanked to avoid Denver. It doesn’t work like that.

  13. If anything the Lakers best chance in against the nuggets would be earlier than later when playoff fatigue kicks in

  14. i agree with you but what if we add davis potentially being still hampered. now you can add resting AD to the list as well

  15. Mr “cheap guy”. You are wonder analysts! My wife turned me on to you. She died from VAX SHOT! But she lives as I listen to you!
However, your pride and innocence regarding thrown gamesmanship negates the reality of the BUSINESS OF NBA.

  16. I am so eager for you to talk about guitars and music in general. Why? Because I am a musician too and happen to love basketball as well…we have so much in common! Please don't forget your guitar!😂😂😂

  17. Mailbag: I know you're probably going to say it has no place on a basketball analysis show but is there any way we could ever hear you play one of your favorite riffs or pieces on the guitar? I know you said you're not very good but I still think it would be so awesome to hear your skills on something other than ball! I'm actually a huge John Mayer fan myself, and own a Roxy Pink PRS Silver Sky. You're right, plays like butter, so easy to handle, my favorite guitar I've ever owned!

  18. THey been ducking good teams resting stars then plays bad teams wth is that LOL…Only the LARefs/LAFts

  19. The Clippers did this in the bubble. Tanking to have a more favorable match up and they were eliminated by that team.

  20. At the end of the day lose in the first round or conference finals the Lakers will be viewed as a disappointment

  21. The fact a tanking conversation is even being had shows the weakness and non competitive league this is.

  22. Ye am with Colin on this one–the Lakers are missing two big guys on rotation–they are probably coming back in the second round–so why not? i think both teams wanna lose 😅

  23. Hey Jason, mailbag question here. In the past, the NBA has changed the rules to make things a bit less easy for players with revolutionary skillsets. Are there any rule changes you can anticipate for Wemby?
