Budenholzer

With that being said, I don’t think Budenholzer would be a good fit with our young roster.

Brian is probably the best Nets reporter out there. He really has his ears in the offices and whatnot. If he says it’s true, then I believe it 100%.

As for Bud, I’m sure he’ll get another job this summer.

  2. Why would we want a driven coach with a proven track record and strong sense of direction when we can have a virtual nobody? Let’s go for 20 wins next season with our “player’s coach” so we can restore the glory days of dancing on the sidelines after hitting one three-pointer on ten shots and talking about immaculate vibes.

    Franchise is scuffed beyond repair.

Coach doesn’t have to be buddies with the team , I’ll take the guy with a proven record of success

Bud will be hired somewhere else.

This dude Fernandez, on paper at least, looks like a lab-grown NBA head coach. We’re seeing this not just in the NBA, but also in other sports: While it’s nice to be a former player who can coach, it’s entirely something else to be one of these dudes that was obsessed with coaching from a young age.

    – Can supposedly relate to anyone, players love and respect the guy

    – Started coaching at 15

    – Experience with three different national teams

    – Head coach in the G League

    – Player dev coach

    – Assistant coach

    – All about coaching

    – A few credits from his PhD in Sports Psychology

    – Has extensively studied and researched human behavior

A players coach, really? We’ve had three of those in a row, it doesn’t work. You need a coach who knows his X’s and O’s and holds players accountable. Hoping for the best but fear the worst.

With the state of this team, we need to build around are young players and potential relatively young star. We won’t get succes straight away. This is a project team, even if tsai wants to go into the playoffs next season, we need development. This is an investment, and I think team cohesion is ESSENTIAL for us to succeed next season. I’m happy we didn’t take Bud, he has success but honestly he’s overrated 🤷‍♂️

Abrasive meaning he would also correct or check the Front Office which they didn’t want that.

It’s not always just about the players when they say abrasive personality.

Player’s Coach is 1 thing. But you don’t want a nice guy.

Hopefully this means were embracing a rebuild. I promise you nets fans if we’re patient with this we will get rewarded. Our young core is coming together nicely, those suns picks are going to be valuable, we can get more for bridges hopefully. Things change quickly in this league. Look at where certain teams were 2 yrs ago compared to now. This is an ever changing league but the teams that build patiently and thru the draft tend to reap the rewards of stable long term success

Sounds like head office just wants a nice yes man.
