  1. Slick Leonard, watch over us and guard us from the Ringer curse

    I can see abstractly why:

    1. They are assuming Giannis will miss or not be at full strength for much of the series, and statistically, even with him the Bucks have an uninspiring +2.6 point diff.
    2. They are assuming lacking Randle will be a significant blow to the Knicks, and Philly is much better than their likely position in the standings.
    3. We would have home court against Philly.
    4. Due to some crazy blowouts like the last game, the Pacers are tied with Philly for the 3rd best point diff in the East!

Still, lets get real, what the numbers say is that its Boston %80, Pacers %5, the field %15.

This kind of feels like saying “Purdue has the second best chance to win the title” heading into final four weekend, but I’ll take it

I feel like this is strictly due to NY having to worry about Boston one round earlier than us, and possibly getting Philly round 1. I think straight up, Boston would worry slightly more about facing the Knicks than the Pacers based on recent performance.

NY wouldn’t have to worry about Boston before us. They are the number 2 seed. They would see them in the ECF, like us

btw, there are some dumb ratings on that site, like Zion #20 in the league ahead of PG? Bam Adebayo’s strength is ‘shot blocking’? (averages 0.9 a game). Also, can someone explain to me why everyone is so high on Banchero? I mean, yes, he’s only 21, but they act like he’s already a borderline star. He’s a mediocre volume shooter who turns the ball over a lot and averages 0.6 blocks and 0.9 steals despite being 6’10 and playing 35 minutes a game. I’d argue he’s easily the Magic’s worst starter.

I will take making it to the ECF and getting clapped by the Celtics in 4 or 5 games 100 times out of 100 as a springboard to light a fire for this young team and empower management to be aggressive this offseason
