Yes he is. SGA is the MVP.
No he's not. Joker locked the MVP up weeks ago.
These types of choices are too personal and biased to take very seriously. Each team will find their own reasons for their superstar to be the mvp of the year, the media has its own dark agenda (pro-vax/woke/neomarxism/lgbt, "climate change", etc), it also matters how healthy the team was around the mvp candidate, if he is a center he will automatically have a higher efficiency than any PG, etc, etc.

If Shai's stats were better, maybe. Bottom line: Jokic led his team to the same record, but with better stats (pretty much across the board), and he did it without Jamal Murray for over a third of the season. OKC enjoyed a fairly easy schedule and were VERY healthy this year. That said, Jokic got screwed by MVP voters last year and it could easily happen again.

The real MVP last FOUR seasons is Nikola Jokic.

As an admittedly biased Nuggets fan, the fact is that the Nuggets would be the Pistons without Joker.🙈 OKC, though they do deserve tremendous credit for being so young and incredible, still produced 118.7 points per game in the 7 games he missed.
The Nuggets are the reigning champs, beat Boston 2x this season, and were 1 point away from the #1 seed because of Jokic carrying the team with Jamal gone for ~25 games this season.
The Nuggets are a more egalitarian team (with Joker being the cog of the wheel) and Joker is a humble beast, for example deciding to only put up 3 shots and 4pts against the Pistons. He CHOOSES not to try to run up his individual stats, but his dominance is evident in every aspect of the game.
Make no mistake: without him, the NBA looks completely different, Denver is still stuck in midville at best, and the route to the next championship does not go through Denver.
Jokić has changed the NBA as we know it and is still the most dominant force and the media’s constant efforts to suppress, silence, and dismiss him actually makes the point even more.
That said, big shout out to SGA and the other many incredible talents rising up! They are definitely closing the gap! I think Shai has the strongest case for #2 for sure. Luka is a superstar and the Mavs are on fire, but playing next to a multi-time All-Star and future HOFer and much improved team since the trade deadline deserves some recognition.
Joker and SGA have taken weaker teams further this season. Likely the same regarding Brunson but I haven’t watched or studied enough to rank him in there, but hats off to them all. It’s been a helluva regular season!

There's no way. Luka has better basic stats and Jokic has better advanced stats. But beyond that, Jokic helps his teammates so much more than either Luka or SGA. Jokic can be counted on to sacrifice his own stats to get his teammates involved and during the regular season to give them more chances to improve and develop.
Giving SGA the MVP because he beat Jokic on a tie breaker decided by one of the only 3 games Jokic missed, is crazy.
You even asked the host of Locked on OKC how they jumped to #1 seed and SGA wasn't even the second reason. J-Dub and Chet.
What a bullshit narrative to pretend Luka was only amazing over an 18 game run. Luka was better than Shai's ass all season long just like he has been better than Shai since they came into the league together.
The best he could come up with against Jokic is the best player shouldn't be handed it?
