I hope draft stand still like the order (maybe only top4 team change pos) spurs only get one pick thus year, and player stand still, so next year we can start winning and hope for the worse for ATL and TOR.

Wow. If the Spurs pick up 2 picks in the top 10 this year, I can’t see them spending much time at all in the G League.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the Toronto pick odds. I thought we definitely weren't getting that pick.

There are plenty of examples of teams who have traded for star veterans to pair up with their franchise player, only to see the effort fail. Spurs are known for building through the draft and the odds are that they will continue to do so. But… the Spurs have never had a superstar rookie who was not part of an established team of vets. Victor is ready to win now, so there is a chance that the Spurs WILL trade players and/or picks for a veteran star. I'm anxious to see how they play their hand. Personally, I'm OK with acquiring one solid star-level vet, either this year or next year, but doing the rest of their growth through the draft.
I doubt that. How do you guys feel about the Spurs going after Klay? Maybe a 2 year with a team option for a 3rd. If they could get Klay and maybe trade for Trae too, this team be in business. Or just add Klay to the team and draft a PG or Big to go along with Vic. He can help and bring that veteran championship experience..

I don't see the spurs in the lottery train next year. I don't see Wemby willing to loose that much again… or they will have to be very, very very good sales men… I know he will not have it (I am following him since he is pro and it's really not his mindset…)
Question (since I try to understand your lottery system, we don't have that here in France) : why couldn't they take their pick and eventually Raports pick this year a trade for Tre Young? I am pretty sure that we those 2 guy and the guys we have that show up late this season be could be playoff team or at least play in team next year. If we are play in team there no chance we draft great… no?
Also : when team can start the trading process? is there a starting date, dead line ?

Josh Primo was released from the Clippers two days ago. Josh had been showing flashes of greatness before he was injured early this year and with the stacked roster he probably would have had trouble breaking that rotation.
If you believe that this young man has paid his debt to society and has found the help he needed then I would entertain the idea of bringing him back on the cheap and as a bench player.
I just want Alexandre Sarr to be on the team. His wingspan and stature in the post would open up so many easy dishes to a cutting Wemby.
My hope would be a twin tower 2.0 with Sochan, Mamu and Vassell as our cleanup crew.

My personal feeling, Spurs will get a combo like picks 7 and 8.

It’d be better if the spurs draft a reliable scoring wing with the highest pick they got if one is available. If not, then trade down and get a reliable backup big man. People keep saying get a guard but there’s not a guard I can see that’s better than an experienced Tre Jones and Wesley who’s soon going to come into his own. Topic has better playmaking by miles but his game still needs developing to adjust to the NBA. People forget we’ve been down a big man for 3/4 of the season. Collins and Barlow are better as PF’s the needs are Wing and Big. If we can’t get those this draft then just trade the picks away.
I ran tank-a-thon 50 times and Toronto got the first pick 10 times. We kept getting 6 through 8 over 75% of the time.
Next year we have Atlanta's pick, if they decide to rebuild (and not trade Young to us), that will be our best chance to get a high pick. Also have Chicago's top 10 protected.

Is it crazy to think the spurs played better teamwork with Wemby and the role players instead of Wemby Vassell Sochan and Keldon?
🏀I found it sad for the spurs to decide to give up their top 3 14% position after whole year of purpose suffering. Imagine how happy the Hornets and Blazers are celebrating. Now most likely we gonna be getting 5-7, as opposed to 1-3 😂😢 I’m low key disappointed no matter what other fans tell me ( ofc I know we still have chance but there’s reason a number is a number but not other number. Our odds shrink!)
Moreover, it’s because how bad this year draft is, that’s the very reason why we should aim for top3 no matter what! Cus we are the first one or second or third to PICK FIRST on draft night. Say, we only see good in Sarr, but after whole year of tanking😂we tank ourselves to 5-7, ain’t no way we are getting Sarr, now the effect of the BAD draft starts to release its BAD impact down the pick ranking.
😂And we choose to do this after being settled at 3rd seeds for monthssss just to ruin it at the final second😢! just for the purpose of bringing the team some wins and getting players improved on these final 6 games out of the whole year of games
Then we say next year 100% spurs thrive and we are no longer having our “own” team draft pick being top13 anymore for the many years.
