He could also stop playing three guard line-ups or two 6’3 and under PGs at the same time.

  2. Everyone knew the team needed some height the entire season. Kerr should have pushed for some help. Dunleavy had a great draft but he didn’t help the team at the trade deadline. Mavs became a different team getting Gafford & Washington.

  3. One might believe Kerr learned something. But its all a hogwash. He will continue to play small and smaller. He doesn’t believe or rather have energy to coach. He just want to run same plays so that he doesn’t have to explain much even if older heads continue to lose vs young and future making couple of mistakes.

Yeah, but he was far more emphatic about us needing more SHOOTING.

Of course we could use both, but you know where Kerr will focus the effort. Aiming at a FIVE GUARD rotation, no one over 6’3″.

He realized this 2 seasons late. Teams have run past us over the last 2 years. They are big and their bigs can shoot. We have Looney trying to screen, rebound and not even look at the basket until the last 2-3 seconds.

Something tells me this man will still roll out 3G/4G lineups next year.

i think more important is that we need to get more athletic. Steph has to be the least athletic player on the floor at all times.

and i know it has worked in the past, but let’s stop with having 2-3 offensive liability on the floor at any time. it’s unfair to steph (and klay). draymond, cp3, gp2, shouldn’t share the floor together much. especially with Trayce/looney being a non-shooting center.

Wiseman pick not panning out really fucked the whole having size thing.

That’s what I’ve been saying the last 2-3 years and even before then when KD left. I got downvoted each time in this sub bringing it up. They need a bigger guard as well as taller wings and bigs. You could be a good rebounding team by ganging one player but we’ve given up lots of rebounds for opposition’s second chance points. And giving up wide open jumpers too.

TJD does address blocking shots and lob threats but we need more of that. He’ll flourish at the 4 if we get more height because I see a future playmaker like Draymond in him. Everyone else who’s on the floor just looks so small out there.

2022 was a rare outlier. The truth is you need size for size in this league. And you gotta make it work somehow and accept changes no matter how extreme. Can’t rely on small ball all 48 minutes.

Need height and athleticism but he played Cp3 & Klay over Moody & TJD last night and for most of the season.

I’m in the minority in thinking this roster wasn’t as flawed as it looked. But now that we’ve seen Kerr’s inability to give playing time to those who deserve it over guys who were good 5 years ago, Dunleavy has to construct the roster so that Kerr has no choice but to play bigger, more athletic guys.

Hallelujah Steve. All of us amateurs could see it for years now but it took you this long to admit it? Geez

  12. Ok-Figure5546

We’re gonna have to see Kerr’s lineups in Paris to see if he’s really learned anything.

  13. A little? More like a lot. Especially if you take on the top 4 teams in the West

Also getting bigger would help Green get less injured. Him having to play center often against much bigger players exacerbated his back issues.

  15. VanishVapour

Should have admitted months ago, not during the play in.

If im just now realizing that Kerr is behind that “is he stupid meme?” Than it totally makes sense

  17. Organic-Fail988

Kerr learned with Doc, says the obvious of shits in the last conference and then the next year proceeds to do the same mistakes smh

    Dario::
Man, these guys just ended my career

  19. it’s pretty obvious since the start of the season that we lack size… we may not need to get much bigger, but I think we need to get more than just a litte more athletic!

  20. Individual_Scheme_11

Steph has always been below average defender. Klay and Dray are not top tier defenders anymore, it’s called aging. Looney moves like he’s 60. The team needs youth and athleticism. But the team also can’t just rely on Steve’s IQ guys, you need bigs that can compete in the post. Not every 6’9 player will play bigger than he is like Dray.

    Nuggets joker
    Wolves gobert
    Thunder chet
    Mavs gafford
    Kings sabonis
    Lakers AD

Rebounding, picknroll or play making centres that you have to get past in the west this year (dont look behind at wemby….)

You cant defend 5 out v teams that shoot well and score in the paint through bigs and their point guard and play small ball. You play small you are forced to help against the big and you leave shooters wide open. Need to get bigger or be irrelevant.

  22. rmarrone58

Small never wins. Reminds me of the rockets at the end of their run when they traded capela and went small. Just doesn’t work. Warriors were never going to compete with the top dogs in the west without any size.
