Time for Warriors to break up the Steph Curry-Klay Thompson-Draymond Green trio? | NBA | SPEAK

The Golden State Warriors’ season ended with a 118-94 loss to the Sacramento Kings in the play-in tournament. Klay Thompson notably finished 0-for-10 with zero points. With the shooting guard set to be a free agent, the basketball world is questioning the future of the game’s biggest trios and dynasties. Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, Ric Bucher and James Jones debate whether it is time for the Warriors to break up their Big 3 or not.

  1. A Top 5 NBA Dynasty discussion would be awesome
The Early Lakers of the late 40’s to mid 50’s, the Russell Celtics of the late 50’s through the 60’s, Magic’s Lakers of the 80’s , Bird’s Celtics of the 80’s, Jordan’s Bulls of the 90’s, Shaq and Kobe’s Lakers of the 2000’s to Kobe’s Lakers into early 2010,San Antonio 1999 through 2014, DWades Heat 2006 through 2013 with Lebron, Golden State with Steph 2015 through 2022.

  2. Two more players 610 plus, Klay bench or trade. Trade a couple newbies, Wiggins out. Bigs with 3 point capabilities and inside prescence. Playoff contention a must. Cant go back, move forward. 20 per cent championship again at best.

  3. They dont have any prospects because Mark Jackson built that team. Kerr definitely proved himself to be a good coach, but team builder? No

  4. The real time to have broken this up,, was the very secind buffon good draymond threw his suckerpunch on teammate Poole.. that one incident destroyed the warriors dynasty.. he should've been cut and arrested.. Klay owes Steph NOTHIN, NOR STEPH OWES KLAY..so of klay leave good TIME FOR A TOTAL REBUILD.

  5. By that logic every team that didn't make the play-in should just sell their teams. Imagine having a conversation with your friend. What do you want for dinner? Some people like eastern food, some people like western food, some people like spicy food, some people like…..my friend would just turn and leave. That is how Acho speaks.

  6. I love my Pats but we can't hold everyone to the standards of ending their career like Tom Brady. Tom is an alnost unattainable standard. He has more championships than every team in the entire sport. Tom redefined an entire age bracket ending his career. I can't just hold people to being that

  7. The dynasty is over, no doubt about it. But whether to break up the Big 3 will ultimately depend on what they could get for Klay and Dray. If the warriors can get better pieces for these two that improve their championship chances, their management will likely do it, especially if Klay couldn’t agree to a much reduced pay package.

  10. I hope my Spurs are licking their lips! Take advantage of father time and get a cheap trade deal for Curry. Would be a perfect ending to this dynasty, crowning the heir to the throne.

  11. Saying you can't replace Klay & Dray with better pieces is crazy at this point. At this point they're borderline bench/starters. They need to restructure and bring in young talent around Steph.

  12. Bottom line if curry want klay there he will be there the warriors will just match whatever teams offer klay if curry want them to keep the 3 together or else klay just wants out completely then they will move on 🤷🏾‍♂️

  13. I’d be ok if Klay takes a massive pay cut and comes off the bench, plays no more than 10-15 min per game

  14. That 22 ring was fools gold. Injuries have them a cakewalk to the finals that year where anything can happen. League is much better now too. Especially the West.
